08/10/2008 13:17 | There has been little news for this stock Surely there must be results due from the drilling in Guinea and some plan for future drilling in Mauritania at Bin En Nar. They still have a deal with Areva, who would get another 10% of the shares. | bert589

05/8/2008 12:35 | Just thought I would post some of the items I picked up on the recent Areva deal, from the, 'in a nut-shell approach' to the more detailed view: Areva Posted: Wed, 25 Jun 2008 [miningmx.com] -- AREVA NC has signed a cooperation agreement with ASX-listed uranium explorer Murchison United to accelerate the exploration and development of its portfolio of uranium projects in Mauritania, West Africa. "The agreement encompasses a strategic investment in Murchison, access to Areva's extensive uranium database in Mauritania, technical cooperation and support from the French-based company," Murchison said. "There is also an agreement to establish a Joint Venture between Murchison and Areva if the exploration programme is successful in identifying a minimum of 60m lbs of JORC Code compliant inferred uranium resources, agreed between the parties, within the next two years," it said. I suppose there are comparisons to be drawn from the UraMin/Areva story? | gerri-c

04/8/2008 12:11 | Hi defomaybe! The way I see it, the deal with Areva allows this junior miner to move into a different league and ensures necessary funding. Areva has also given them 2 years to come up with the goods and will back development. Any moves to acquire would therefore likely be some time off and well flagged. Based on the above and that this is one of my long-term investments, immediate and intermediate share movement is not of concern to me so much as news of some good drilling results to secure Areva's interest. I know this is not addressing your questions directly but as with any junior explorer it is as well to remember that there are no certainties other than patience is a prerequisite if thinking of owning their shares. Good luck with your decision making. | gerri-c
02/8/2008 16:51 | Hi GERRI Having no experience of shares whatsoever could you give me your opinion as to what may happen to share value if Areva are issued a further 10%? would the share price drop because of this? Also,if Areva increases its stake to 100% and become operator of any mining operation what would become of shares then? Thanks (couple of mates who have decided to have a dabble) | defomaybe

01/7/2008 14:37 | >2bozmo - 25 Jun'08 - 11:55 - 411 of 417 >Gerri, the volume on its primary exchange was over twice the normal amount I had assumed the variance previously seen from the time of UK Reg Transfer (2007) would continue, hence reply 412. The share price action since has seemed at variance with that view - although a certain volatility was necessarily expected. How to read today's action, given that the sales seemed taken out? | gerri-c
27/6/2008 08:01 | The initial placement probably dictated the drop, but as far as one man's opinion of the deal, how can he baulk at a deal with the potential to entrench Murchison's projects in vast-reaching Areva at a time of nuclear renaissance? Even acknowledging that such deals take time to feed through to the share price, I'm optimistic of a year-end price above 10p. | gerri-c

25/6/2008 11:29 | That would explain the drop in AUS. | gerri-c
25/6/2008 10:55 | Gerri, the volume on its primary exchange was over twice the normal amount | 2bozmo
25/6/2008 08:11 | Significant selling has failed to materialise so share price mark-down is presently looking over-done. | gerri-c
25/6/2008 08:05 | wow...this should be below 7p again, given where australia closed... | 2bozmo
25/6/2008 07:58 | A few hundred poundsworth of shares sold, and price down 2 1/4 p !!!. Interesting to see what the price would be if a few thousand poundsworth of shares bought !!! | teacake
25/6/2008 07:26 | Speculators might not be so happy but from an investment stand-point, the alliance with Areva has to be enhancing for MUR/MUU? | gerri-c |
