04/5/2007 07:21 | If word is out, it seems to be well taken as we have ticked up again. I agree that a follow-on suspension seems logical. | gerri-c
04/5/2007 07:13 | According to a poster on the iii board the suspension is due to a fund raising placement. Not sure where that information came from though. I would be surprised if these are not suspended on the UK market too. | cwake1
04/5/2007 07:00 | Up, pre-market... | gerri-c
04/5/2007 06:47 | Yes. It is to be hoped the recent buying was a prelude to positive news. | gerri-c
04/5/2007 02:34 | Well this was released this morning over here in Aus., the shares have now been suspended and obviously that will happen in the UK today (Friday) when the market opens. "The securities of Murchison Utd. will be placed in pre-open at the request of the Company, pending the release of an announcement by the Company. Unless ASX decides otherwise the securities will remain in pre-open until earlier of the commencement of normal trading on Tuesday 8th May or when the announcement is released to ththe market." Tuesday could be very interesting, especially with all the buying of late I believe the announcement will be extremely positive !!! 30/4/2007 08:18 | MURCHISON UNITED NL ACN 009 087 852 ASX CODE: MUR, AIM CODE: MUU, Telephone: +618 9322 4071, Fax: +618 9322 4073 ASX, AIM and Media Release 30 April 2007 Uranium Drilling to Commence in Guinea, West Africa * Initial 2,050m RC drilling program to commence at Firawa uranium prospect. * Drilling scheduled to commence within 10 days, with drill rig access road currently under construction. * Drilling to target a prospective 2km section of a previously defined large uranium anomaly extending over 5km. Murchison United NL (ASX: MUR, AIM: MUU) is pleased to announce that it is preparing to commence the first phase of an extensive 2007 drilling program within its portfolio of uranium exploration projects located in the Republic of Guinea in West Africa. The initial program of RC drilling will be undertaken at the Firawa Prospect in southern Guinea, one of three large exploration concessions held by Murchison in Guinea (see Fig 1). Drilling at Firawa is scheduled to commence within 10 days, following completion of an access road which is currently under construction to enable the drill rig to be transported to site. The Firawa program will comprise 31 RC drill holes for a total of 2,050 metres of drilling, targeting a highly prospective 2km section of a previously identified uranium anomaly extending for over 5km within the Firawa exploration licences. Samples will be taken every metre for analysis in Canada for uranium and Rare Earth Elements. Murchison will release the results of the drilling to the market as they become available. The Firawa prospect is one of three concessions held in Guinea - the others being Sesse and Bohoduo. At this stage, drilling of the Bohoduo prospect has been deferred due to delays and difficulties in obtaining access to drill rigs, and the expected onset of the rainy season in June-July. Commenting on the announcement, Murchison United's Managing Director, Mr Mark Reilly, said the commencement of drilling in West Africa represented a significant landmark for the Company, following months of preparatory work. "We are looking forward to the commencement of this important drilling program at Firawa, which will test a very large uranium anomaly previously identified on our tenements," Mr Reilly said. Murchison United has secured an extensive portfolio of uranium exploration projects comprising some 13,600km2 of highly prospective tenements in Mauritania and Guinea, West Africa. Its objective is to delineate significant new uranium deposits within these under-explored terrains. Murchison United NL is an Australian-based no liability company whose principal activity is minerals exploration. The company currently has uranium exploration projects in Mauritania and Guinea in West Africa and copper interests in the Millennium copper leases in Cloncurry, Queensland and the Maroochydore copper project in Western Australia. Shares in the company are listed on both the Australian Stock Exchange (ASX - MUR) and the Alternative Investment Market (AIM - MUU) of the London Stock Exchange. Mark Reilly Managing Director ..........
