07/11/2002 00:47 | MiningNews – 6th November 2002 Institutions increase Murchison holdings THERE'S been movement on the registry of Murchison United with both JP Morgan and Fidelity Investments increasing their stakes in the junior, which has been canvassing a number of acquisition opportunities recently. Last month Murchison placed 58.19 million shares at 1.75 pence each through London stockbroking firm Evolution Beeson Gregory to institutional clients of the firm, raising GBP1.02 million before expenses. JP Morgan has spent GBP150,000 buying 8.57 million shares, with the big brokerage now holding around 12 million shares, while Fidelity acquired 10 million shares to take its stake to 20.8 million shares - equivalent to 12.04% of Murchison's share capital.
