07/8/2002 21:27 | Terms more suitable to Murchisons present circumstances-I hope this is not been interpreted as Murchison are desperate and so we can buy it cheap? Still believe Murchison with a bit of luck could come back to respectable levels but it will not be without pitfalls. | jda
07/8/2002 19:28 | from ASX.com Renison Bell Mine Acquisition Update Document date: Tue 06 Aug 2002 Published: Tue 06 Aug 2002 15:03:09 Document No: 147818 Document part: A Market Flag: N Classification: Asset Acquisition SIROCCO RESOURCES NL 2002-08-06 ASX-SIGNAL-G HOMEX - Brisbane ++++++++++++++++++++ The Company has received advice from Murchison United NL (Murchison) that following discussions with Rio Tinto and its advisers, that the sale and purchase agreement between Rio Tinto and Murchison relating to Murchison's purchase of a 49% interest in the Neves Corvo mine has been terminated with effect from 31 July 2002 because the necessary governmental approvals, authorisations and consents have not been obtained. As a result, the conditional sale of the Renison Bell mine by Murchison to Sirocco will now not be able to take place as planned. However, the Company and Murchison are investigating the potential for completing a transaction on revised terms. Managing Director, Richard Seville commented, "Although the sales process of Renison Bell on existing contractual terms has been disrupted, the opportunity to progress the transaction, under terms more suited to Murchison's present circumstances, is being pursued. Once we can inform shareholders of the revised terms of the transaction, we will be requesting the ASX to lift the current trading suspension on the Company's shares. We anticipate being in a position to advise further within a week." | eugene1234

06/8/2002 21:22 | I have read the quarterly report a couple of times and think there are some quite positive signs in it.Only my opinion but could be worth the gamble and this is not a ramp because I hold a few but a genuine belief that they have fallen to far. | jda
06/8/2002 12:25 | twice or thrice bitten it would seem foolish to plunge into MUU once again. However the price fall does seem to me to be overdone and wondered what others thought (once over the shock of promises not lived up too). | eugene1234

05/8/2002 16:52 | Can someone explain just what happened with the failure of the Neves Corvo deal.Nowhere have I actually seen that the Portuguese Govt. had not given approval to the deal only the supposition that it would not and the withdrawal by Murchison before any announcement. This was meant to be clarified by Atherly but no explanation was made and today's 1/4ly reiterates the position. The question is why was there a pre-emptive withdrawal ? | morrisminor
05/8/2002 12:51 | my friend who has access to the site says tom has so far not apologised to his punters for getting this so badly wrong - does anyone think this share can be rescued or is it goin g under? | renegade master
03/8/2002 14:37 | I gather from someone who is a subscriber to his website that he has not updated his performance table for nearly three months as apparently all his shares have tanked by huge percentages. Also my friend says he has kept on recommending that his punters keep on buying the shares as they tumble and he hardly ever admits to making a mistake. Apparently he said by Murchison a couple of months ago at 28p but on friday morning said hold: at 6p - price now 2p. He says he is a "master of investment" - perhaps he should be done by the Trades Description Act!! | renegade master
03/8/2002 07:35 | A huge tranche of 1,932,216 MUU shares dropped @ 1.5p yesterday. Personally I would not touch them above that price. | dragonhorse
02/8/2002 21:37 | Well not for the first time this week I was wrong again, the shares are traded again as I thought at much reduced levels. If I keep getting wromg this week perhaps I should say that they look dead and buried then you never know we might get rich.Yes-I did buy even more today. A fool and his money are soon parted. | jda |
