Hi GB904150,

I'd expect profit to now increase in both divisions compared to the first half, as turnover is set to increase again.

There should also be good cash collection in the second half, given the significant increase in receivables since the year end.

Look at just the second quarter eps. This was 1.12 us cents. At current exchange rates that's 0.86p per share. And we can expect more than this in the following two quarters (barring unforeseeable mishaps).

I think the all time high for MWE was 55p. I wonder could we break that in the not too distant future.

Another good set of figures with $6.5m revenues for Q2 2017.

It's all kicking out good cashflow - $433k this quarter.

Nice $1m contract win for military which we know is better margins.

It's still the water solutions that are really generating the profit though:

For H1:
Antennas $175k
Mottech $704

But at least antennas side is no longer loss making as had been recently.

MWE is still pretty much valued at nothing :)

Don't you just love it when it moves just a little tick up, great momentum here, slow and steady. Hopefully soon will be back to my buying price of 40p.

Hi Sailing John,

the conversation recently has been on the other board here!

No posts for 10 weeks nicely off radar - I like that!
But somebody in the market today as unusually high volume
All the other recent peaks over 100k associated with an RNS
Is there something we don't yet know or is it just coincidental trading?

Good news today about the JV in China with Omega. Steady progress being made here and seems to be good news from all sectors of the business.

Hi John,

shame I didn't make this one....but hopefully next year.

Thank you for sharing and great to see and hear so many positive updates from MWE atm.

They seem to be in the rare position (for them) where all business segments are operating well and growing. The recent Nokia deal was a great indicator of that and Mottech looks to be the right acquisition at the right time.

Even RFID finally sounds positive after several years of 'it's going to take off'.

At some point the business will be valued more than its net assets! Until then, sit tight and enjoy the dividends.

Hi all, my notes from todays AGM in case of interest:

2 main growth drivers at present are China ops for Mottech and 60-80GHz antennas. Mottech curr has lots of global demand. One of the initiatives in China's latest 5 yr plan is to bring more green areas to cities to reduce the pollution, which will provide good opportunities for Mottech. Agriculture in China is also a big opportunity for them as cost of labour is getting quite expensive as is cost of water, so Mottech has opportunities there to provide more efficient water usuage with less labour. The other big opportunity for MWE is in antennas as capacity becomes more and more of an issue. eg India est to have another ~200m cell phone users over the next year. Moni feels that the 60-80GHz antennas are the best in the market in terms of performance and cost. MWE anounced a deal with Nokia in Barcelona (as they want dual band in case 80GHz affected by weather, etc.) Now other T1 players looking at MWE products.

Otherwise RFID doing well, mainly in toll roads. Within the airports sector, airlines are starting to push for RFID to track cases (as if a customer pays extra for baggage then want to know where it is…) Feel that already in position at airports, just waiting for product to "take-off" 2 other opportunities worth mentioning for the company at present, both in the military section, will wait to see what happens. After the success of Mottech, comp admits that acqns are in their strategy. However, will likely focus on new products/geographies rather than new business sectors. W.r.t. the order book, it still looks good and they are seeing lots of traction in the pipeline.

Yes, the return to significant profit in the first quarter was driven by the recovery in turnover in the antennae división from last year's blip.

The forward guidance - and order book - is encouraging as they are typically quite cautious about such statements.

Great results announced. Still on sale here, below Nav of 28p. I'm sure Allenby note to follow will add more discussion, but I like what I see as a business undervalued and entering profitable contracts, mottech in particular. Antennas looking more healthy too.

And Mottech have won another small contract in China - 0.3m - to manage a municipality's landscpae and turf irrigation. A nw and promising departure for Mottech.
