Definitely a seller here. Brave adding, I'm not so brave! Companies should have to report quarterly as we are completely in the dark as to how they are trading.

Steady buying in the background on AQSE today - over 8k shares so far including a top up from me

One assumes there must be a background seller too for the share price to remain dampened like this but I'm seeing it as an opportunity to accumulate in the hope £5 is a support

Thing that annoys me, a few sells and the share price tanks, a few buys and doesn't move

I've a feeling only subscribing blues can see it as it's showing as a trade on the AQSE exchange (as opposed to LSE) along with 4 other trades (modest buys) today

No problem - in Defence alone there are a nice string of different contracts underway with MSI weapons being fitted to the US Naval fleet commencing with the DDGs and USCG ships alongside fitments to the MkVI patrol boats, Indonesian Navy PC40's, Egyptian Meko A200 frigates and smaller vessels such as the Royal Navy PAC 24 Ribs. Further out into 2024-2026 we will have the RN Type 26's and Philippine Navy OPVs and corvettes so plenty to look forward to.Forks and forecourt superstructures also seemingly doing very well.

Thank you Norbert Colon for the information, the more I look at this company - half year results and contract news thereafter, there looks like multiple opportunities and the cash position mightily impressive. A little bit of patience will hopefully be well rewarded.

The Seahawk weapons fitted to these MkVI boats are from MSI - hxxps://www.shephardmedia.com/news/naval-warfare/foreign-military-sale-funding-arms-ukrainian-patrol-boats/

Volume has been falling recently - 7k shares average per day.

In the absence of news nobody buying and very few sales. Possibly still a few selling who bought back when it was tipped and going to the moon?

Today over 35k shares traded. Possibly a buy order being filled.

Why someone is buying, who knows?

I suspect it will continue to do this in the absence of news or until the FY results in July set a new price level for better or worse? Rising sharply on large buys and then falling gently on a drizzle of smaller sells.

cheers,

Looking at skynex, many of its parts seem to be fairly static, and one thing the Ukrainian war has shown is that static targets are more easily taken out than in previous conflicts. And given its relatively short range it could not be placed near to the front line to eliminate battlefield drones whereas a truck based system can (esp when it costs a lot less). Himars with a fast fire and scoot technique has proved better than traditional m777's in evading the enemy.Have any been installed yet ? It would be interesting to know the setup time. That was a big unexpected issue with Rapier in the Falklands. But for many countries skynex will provide great demos and bigger commissions:-)

Yes fair point.

That is not apples to apples because skynex is a sophisticated system fleet purchase not an individual piece.

Almost USD 100m each for Skynex compared to less than USD 5m (perhaps as little as USD 2.5m) for MSI's VSHORAD offering so a big difference in cost.

Just done a quick check. Rheinmetall says their gun system has an effective range of 4000m, and MSI only claims 2000m for the VSHORAD.Be interesting to see how they are used. Individually for defending specific targets ? Or daisy chained to protect a 'front' or city ?

Missile systems against drones is very expensive. It can cost 50-100k per missile Vs a few 1000 for the drone. When drones were rare, it might have made sense, but against 'swarms' or the dozens of battlefield drones being used, I find it hard to see how the logistics work.A 'simple' 30mm shell on the other hand comes in bulk. A drone does not need to be actually hit. Proximity shells will easily cause enough damage. I would suspect only 3-5 shells per drone will be needed given the relatively slow speed. The truck can be easily resupplied but should have enough ammo for a sustained deployment.Obviously the big question is range and the need to place the trucks in locations where the drones are ;-). But, the cost is not that high if I remember so mass deployment should be possible once they are proven to kill drones within there effective range. It should also act as a deterrent against low flying aircraft.
