I’d forget the dividends for the moment, that will come in time. The pension deficit has been more than halved in the last two years, that’s impressive. If we step back and look at the big picture, they’re only in two of the top ten markets. I would imagine that they will use an online platform for these new markets which really shouldn’t take too long to set up. Revenues will only increase now (and we’re still 25% down due to global conditions). Imo we’re in a great position and this is now a big opportunity.

Jimmy let me know when they start paying dividend. They have a 60m deficit on their balance sheet and that is under IAS 19. The funding deficit will be worse. I’d also add the deficit is suppressed atm due to high yields.

Still that is a decent performance. I hope they turn it around. The previous CEO - newton jones ran this into the ground and wasted 100m quid. Shareholders deserve some sort of return here due to the previous management teams wastefulness.

When the pension deficit is £60m , the exciting £10m EBITA is not enough to see this share ever paying a dividend again . Russia is a kick in the teeth but it was on the canvas anyway.
Good luck if you bought recently , but if you bought a few yrs ago then the small share price rises are irrelevant. I only keep this on my monitor to remind me of bad buys I made in the past.

Holders will never get any return on this. The pension deficit is a killer. The company only exists to pay down the deficit. That’s the facts. The previous ceo squandered that 100m rights money. Wasted it on defunct erp systems, head office refurbishments and uk store upgrades. All wasted. A real shame.

I'll have a look for you applied1...although I'm still licking my wounds when they took my biz for £1M+ in bad debts on the highly questionable pre-packs they did the other year.
I say questionable as the timelines did not add up during a creditor/supplier meeting they held in HK that I attended.
