23/8/2015 13:03 | I just found out that any shares remaining in private hands were bought out by Zjin at 35p per share, as of 7th august. This is about 14% of what I paid. (But fortunately I sold half my holding at the time of the takeover for a modest profit, so a significant loss overall but not the end of the world.) At least this resolves the issue. For a long time there was complete silence - on this board, on the website, when I emailed the company. I assumed it had been wound up, share value zero to square its debts from the parent company, without even any communication. | hedgehog5
17/10/2012 10:12 | I had a phone call saying there had been a rights issue, shares were allocated but holders were not informed.I thought I'd sold all mine but maybe not? | serratia
16/10/2012 23:38 | Hedgehog5, It's late but I'll post again. | serratia
15/10/2012 22:32 | sorry: omitted to say - i have not had any phone calls (but i'm pretty much incommunicado). i'd be interested to hear more. It might contribute to an overall clearer picture. | hedgehog5
15/10/2012 22:28 | hey, serratia. You seem to be the only sign of recent life on all these threads. very hard to get any info at all about what the company (or rather: their Zijn overlords) are up to. are you aware of any thread / forum / board / info stream i don't know about? for the record: i bought in 2006 and sold half, at a modest profit, at the buyout. SERIOUSLY regretting holding the other half ;-( | hedgehog5
20/9/2012 12:29 | Anyone else getting the phone calls re shady goings on ? | serratia
31/7/2010 10:31 | "non liquid" ? A de-listed share doesn't exist on the stock exchange any more. I guess you could call that non liquid. Zi Jin said they would match buyers and sellers in a private process, but it's not likely to be at high speed. You may wait months for a buy or sell. Oh, here's what nice people Zi Jin are: Pollution? Muaaaahaha ha ha ha ha ha ha! Oh, it's a copper mine, fancy that! | arf dysg
02/9/2009 20:20 | The eventual delist is what I expected at the time of the takeover. A de listed share is likely to be non liquid and without regular reports, so you can forget about it. | enamel
02/5/2009 10:03 | jhar257, no, it's not "suspended" it's "de-listed" which means permanently removed from the stock market, no longer a listed company. The Chinese majority owners say they will invent a mechanism for matching buyers and sellers of shares so they will still record who owns shares and the shares will sort-of be tradeable, but it won't necessarily be easy. "suspended" would mean it's still listed but trading is temporarily stopped. If conditions change it could re-start trading. However, this one is not going to be suspended, it's going to be de-listed. | arf dysg
30/4/2009 09:03 | Arf...no mate I bailed at 90p as I saw an opportunity with YELL.......what a move that proved to be...bought at 12p 14p, sold my original investment at 28p then topped up more at 18p..........she is now passed 40p on her way to a quid I reckon..!!! good move or what???? | aspers
29/4/2009 19:24 | As a minority shareholder in a private company, you are basically in the hands of the majority holders and the shares may end up virtually untradeable for long periods of time imo | clancrackan
27/4/2009 20:49 | Hi, I'm new to investing, what does this mean? It's going to be suspended for a period of time before being re-listed or will the majority holder have to buy out the rest of the shares. Sorry for my ignorance. | jhar257
26/4/2009 19:16 | Hey, aspers, this'll sort the long-term investors from the traders! Are you still in this? | arf dysg
24/4/2009 13:54 | It means you can't watch a blue line going up or down throughout the week.... Whats the fun in that...!! | chesty1
24/4/2009 07:26 | the doctor, Thanks. That was what I thought. I was in this when the Chinese took over.....obviously relieved to accept that now with hindsight ie 350, but can't help but think they've got this resource on the cheap big time. | mikey34
23/4/2009 22:45 | was tempted to go back in a couple of months back but luckily resisted this...no real surprise and they have honoured their commitment following the Chinese involvement | cerrito
23/4/2009 19:15 | people get shares in a private company - difficult to trade | the_doctor
23/4/2009 15:32 | Don't have a position here and pardon my ignorance but what is the situation when they delist?TIA. | mikey34
23/4/2009 14:10 | nice timing matt Always thought this would delist - seemed pointless not doing so. Havent read the results, but if they develop this, it could be a great long-term play BUT private of course, so it would perhaps have to be very long term | the_doctor
23/4/2009 08:26 | Seems to be stalling at just under 100p so have taken some profit out over the past couple of weeks. Better potential gains to be made elsewhere at present. Eg NPE, KBC, AMI, CAO, VPP | matt123d
02/4/2009 11:27 | Above the 200dma now, both the 20dma and 50dma rising towards a golden cross. | matt123d
30/3/2009 16:16 | Yeah still in here, looking very good today, 300% up from my initial purchase now. | matt123d
30/3/2009 16:07 | Nice jump today on hardly any volume....glad I still have a few of these tucked away....anyone still in here???? | aspers
25/3/2009 10:20 | Interesting few jumps over the last few days on very little volume....somethings brewing me thinks!!! | aspers
23/3/2009 11:12 | Looks as though we're off for the next run up. | matt123d |
