Looking through the portfolio, I can see lots of potential. It's like a bag of seeds in very fertile ground. The UK stock market needs a whole injection of a new breed of businesses - it's gone nowhere for 20 years and now the dividends are drying up. I know some of the names are waiting for the big multi-billion IPO opportunities so they can be global players but why not let a few single billions first and build from that. Cazoo (for cars) looks interesting, ex Zoopla guy leading that.

Commentary on Graphcore at the end of this piece:

I agree with the overall sentiment there, could either accelerate or hinder Draper Esprit's exit.. I don't know.

Some people do actually need to read the RNS in full to get some of their questions answered. Read the Chair's write up in the results. I fo one are happy with the discount to stay wide.

there's no great need to close the discount if the NAV continues up, and i'm under the impression that a 20% discount is more the norm than the exception with private equity in general. otoh, could also be a marketing issue - the name Draper Esprit isn't particularly eye-catching to those that don't know it, whereas Augmentum Fintech, for example, has always carried a small or non-existent discount except for its huge dip recently.

I was hoping management actions would, not just time.

Yes, but what will close the discount?

A 20% discount and cash in the bank. Growth companies such as Revolute, Graphcore and Freetrade. Also in Sportpursuit which may have well taken advantage of the fitness surge recently in running and cycling. Holding up well in any lockdown and post Covid scenarios

As expected, 20% discount in place. Can't see a catalyst to close that by very much for very long though given market conditions.

Very reassuring.A very historic (in the circumstances) NAV of 555p at end March but things seem to be progressing well through the crisis.

Finally great news, glad to have them out, a slight overhand on the share.

Directors will be buying some shares in the open market shortly from the recent announcements

Looking back at yesterday's trades (link below), I think that has to be Invesco departing with the 1.7m and 12m at 450p at just gone 10am. So, good news and I would expect the discount to tighten up before long.

Invesco was holding 14.2m (12%), so waiting to see what they've dropped to.

So, Schroders was a big new buyer yesterday:

And Baillie Gifford topped up its 4.5m (3.8%):

This explains the drag on the share price to NAV vs MERI (who also have TransferWise and Graphcore) where I am also invested. Given Invesco had 10% and the low volume, this could trade at a discount for a while longer but that's fine by me as I am investor not a day trader. I am happy to accommodate Invesco through this period of buying monthly.

Yes, big sales below bid through the day. Would assume it's Invesco...
