There's a large seller of some 130,000 shares sitting on the offer at 93p.Once that's cleared up,the next cheapest offer is at 96p.....any takers?

Wasn't aware of that cigarette testing in the US when I bought in last week - bit of a bonus there if anything comes of that.

brokers lifted forecast again to 4.3 million.

We need a bit more cash out of them. I like the thought of a special divi!!!!!!!

Yes held these mainly for the yield especially in these times but this is definitely worth £1.50 imv.

I bought on that statement battlebus - thought it was rather good with increasing comfidence.

PE just over 6, yield around 6% . ISA-able too.

That's a positive statement with the period showing strength. Maybe a tick up on that.

I agree. If you look at the underlying profit, it's not that impressive. I was happy to take profits at 105p and I won't be going back in on the back of these results.

The vast pension fund, 300m+ in assets, would deter potential buy outs.

With a patchy record, to say the least , in trading, Too risky on an underlying PE of about 8.

HAVE TO DISAGREE..............

With 30 odd p in cash and profits over 4 million maybe even getting close to 5

I expect a 150p target and a increase to 4p in final dividend.

I remain a large holder, having sold just once. I think these have much further to go

Nice results indeed, and the market likes them as well it seems, no surprise.

how can you make sense of them, with such large exceptionals in the pension financing swinging around each year, is it a pension fund tail wagging the trading dog?

and with weak markets in prospect, not to mention the unresolved euro crisis, how can a sensible valuationof the whole be made?

remember what happened to to other small caps with pension tails wagging the "main business" dog!

Digital-look are forecasting 12.4p for the year ending Dec '11 so that is a P/E of 7.2p they then have that falling to 6.6 for 2012 (EPS of 13.6p)

I think P/E's can be a bit misleading for a small cap like MLIN who have lots of cash. Worth looking at EV rather than MCap, so if you take the last cash figure of £13.8m which is about 68p per share in cash we trade on an EV/earnings ratio of around 1.7 which is tiny (IMO).
