crookney, actually i bought a 100 at 25p this afternoon, that and a very much larger sale will mark tomorrow.....the 30 at 26p was probably a buy also, but not mine...you are often in the dark, and usually i say nothing, but on this occasion i feel we have know each other so long that i feel a bit sentimental and hence my urge to enlighten you - oh and the dead wood in he boardroom is being cleared away

I'd say that's Freddy's 30K he bought on Feb 16 for trade at 43p been sold today for 26p.

Wait till the other traders dump.

I don't think I want them at 20p to be honest RC-T.

I live near the co, I know people that work there, I've followed them for about 7 years and they really are not and investment worthy of my cash until there's wholesale board changes an big director buying so that I can see they have some skin in the game. If these are that cheap the directors would be buying in size - lets see.

My bet ls they lose a packet ove the coming years and any remaining assets get whittled down to pay creditors or to debt up against.

How long did they pontificate about the Saunderton land and then sold it as the property market crumbled!

This one's for the grim reaper over the next few years imo.

Snowman - I would agree bar one thing - they have already reduced the divi from 7p to 5p so why won't they reduce it again?

For a company with so much assets and making 16p underlying earnings this year, why are they reducing the divi when it was 2 times covered? On that basis I'd say they don't expect to make anything like 16p eps in the coming year. I bought these in late 2001 @ 170p and doubled my money in a short period. Sadly this co has just frittered away the assets in a clueless manor since then. The directors remind me of those at Inveresk - clueless old boys imo.

Such a screaming buy with all these assets that no director has bought shares in an age. Give themselves shares yes, but put their hand in their pocket for them - nope.

They are in a horrible sector where they don't control costs. As they eat through any cash they will borrow against the assets. The next year or two won't be as easy so it's your guess how low the earnings go.

You can go back through this thread and see Frauddy calling these a buy at 170p, 120p, 70p, 50p and now 40p. The whole business needs a fundamental change imo.

Three years ago they were making 21p, two years ago 18p. We had the biggest boom in our history during that time yet the earnings declined - what are they going to do in a recession?

I wish you luck, I hope I'm wrong but the fact Frauddy is buying says I'm not imo. He felt the same re Cattles 6 months ago @ 110p.

CR

sometimes i see your posts around. Normally i agree with the general rule.

However you have got this so wrong.

Time will tell but a yield of 12% means that buying the shares at 35p like i did today means that in 7 years i have my stake back. The shares after the dividend are reduced in cost each year by 5p.

The company has no debt. The turnover is several times the market cap.

i am more than happy to keep holding and buying

Frauddy - how many times have you bought this stock and thrown your gonads to the lions?

The coming year is going to get tough they say, on a PE basis there is cheaper stocks.

The cashflow is going to go negative and they will piddle the last of the assets up the wall securing cash against them.

I've warned you so many times - if you'd listened in the past you'd have saved a fortune. I advise anyone thinking of buying these to read the thread further up and the dross you've posted about this stock and how it was a buy - while it has plummeted.

The smart investors sold 15K today I reckon.

I'll buy these at 20p. And I bet I don't have to wait long.

We are on our own, ignore sentiment and psychology and comment and just INVEST!

Net current assets alone are 21.5 million v market cap of 7 million - you couldn't make it up, but importantly just as in the 30's and 40's the likes of Graham and Buffet were able to buy shares for less than cash or current assets and we, over the past 20 years, said things were different then, now we can see how it hbappened. With no confidence, prices sink to illogical levels.

Risky L2 though !

Wins quoting 41p bid for 5k and next bid is 35p, i would be nervous
if i was a trader of these, wont effect long term holders of course.

Thats because my broker tells me that in effect its off market.

As such my further 50k buy today is not showing.

I have collected 250k of these now on to my target of 500k shares.

hopefully i will have them in the bag by the end of next week.
