11/7/2007 14:01 | phil - surprised you take this view; Wilkinson is pretty savvy about these things and he spent £4M of ITO's money to pick up 80m shares at 5p a share. I agree it's difficult to value an early stage technology businss but 2p is way off beam IMO. You should speak to the chairman - the potential is huge, the kit is first rate and it will only take one decent deal to transform the business. And a few decent deals are - I gather - in the pipeline. We'll see. | pbracken
11/7/2007 13:51 | mm trade 100k come on, give us a trading update... (before we fall victim to a shorter attack) | andrbea
11/7/2007 13:42 | Looks extremely overvalued - £15M M/C for more heavy losses and minimal sales! I'm happy on the touchline - entry point about 2p. | philjeans
09/7/2007 20:27 | PTT has been around a long time virtually everywhere except the eurozone, where texting has been the great success. Maybe PTT is going to be seen by the large operators as the next opportunity? (or threat?) | thereverend
04/7/2007 18:51 | Hi Guys, Having watched these shares for a few weeks, have decided to 'buy into the dream' My 20 year old daughter says that 02 are already offering "push to talk". Is this right? | peterblok
03/7/2007 10:38 | creeping up some more maybe we'll have some news soon (been a long wait)? if U go to revol's site the first thing U see is push - talk, so that's good to see | andrbea
02/7/2007 18:41 | I think so, too - at the time of the trade, the spread was 8.5p-9.25p; and the subsequent mark-up suggests a mm was cleared out. | pbracken
02/7/2007 17:23 | 100k 'sell' looks like a buy to me | andrbea
29/6/2007 16:31 | Typed on an Enigma machine possibly? | bonty

29/6/2007 13:37 | push-to-talk still topical Mobile operators are currently deploying IMS-complaint applications like push-to-talk (PTT) and location-based applications as an overlay to their existing mobile core equipment. This core equipment consists of either MSCs or mobile NGN equipment, (media gateways and softswitches). We do not consider these overlay deployments and application servers as part of our accounting of the IMS core, as our forecast focuses on the basic call control and subscriber management aspects of IMS, specifically the CSCF and the HSS. As a result, the Dell'Oro Group's forecast for core IMS is relatively muted in the short term as it parallels the adoption of VoIP in the radio link. | andrbea
19/6/2007 13:52 | push to ... (didn't know there were so many.. :-) ) In addition to WiMAX, other IMS applications offered by Motorola include OMA PoC (open mobile alliance -- push-to-talk-over-ce May 23 | andrbea
15/6/2007 09:06 | nextel push-to talk services (same market segment) The iDEN/CDMA hybrid clamshell marks the first handset on Sprint's lineup to offer both Nextel's push-to-talk services and access to Power Vision features. June 14 | andrbea
14/6/2007 15:44 | A founder director, since resigned from the board, reneged on an agreement whereby he was to take up 14m shares at 16p. The shares tanked on the news and MBT was forced to find alternative funds - which it did largely through an investment by ITO. ITO got the deal of the decade when it bought 80m shares at 5p a pop. | pbracken
14/6/2007 15:33 | Am interested in investing in this company - can anyone explain why the price dropped so dramatically at the end of 2006 please | peterblok
12/6/2007 09:58 | mbt - how about a trading update? the market is there, but it seems to be passing us by..... more on Push to Talk (eg Peru, June 11) Chávez's estimates that Claro, a subsidiary of Mexican mobile group América Móvil, currently has a market share of nearly 50% in capital Lima, dominating the prepaid segment. In related news, Claro has launched a push-to-talk service called Claro Directo. The operator launched the service with two mobile devices from US-based telecommunications manufacturer Motorola. Claro will compete with digital trunking operator Nextel, a unit of NII Holdings | andrbea
08/6/2007 12:09 | more on Nokia phones with Push to Talk The speakerphone on the N76 is among the most clear we've heard, though it could have been louder. Still, we'll take clarity over volume any day. Nokia's PC suite did a fine job integrating our contact lists from Outlook. In the phone's push to talk option, we find the first of many features that may be easy to implement for European users, but which could be difficult for AT&T customers stateside. Though we're not PTT subscribers, in browsing the application on the phone, we're skeptical that we could get it working on AT&T's PTT service without considerable help, a situation U.S. customers might not be used to. We're not a country known to ask for help, after all. For talk time, we got almost four and a quarter hours on the phone, which is more than the 2.75 that Nokia promises, but less than we'd like from EDGE-only phone. (dated today, Norwegian periodical) | andrbea
07/6/2007 14:38 | agreed p-b notice how South Africa is also field-testing 'push-to-talk' technology: May 31 2007: | andrbea
07/6/2007 13:05 | That will come, andrbea - and just think, continental Europe hasn't even started to roll out PTT technology. There is so much to play for it's hard to know where to start (although MBT are targetting the US and UK). | pbracken
07/6/2007 13:01 | Push to Talk technology received well in China .. all we need now is MBT to get a few more PTT contracts of its own. | andrbea
06/6/2007 14:58 | Mobile Tornado believes Revol will be the first of a number of deals all around the world | andrbea
31/5/2007 08:48 | sector interest Push to Talk is still a current feature on new models: The first BlackBerry handset to offer a built-in spell checker with user-customizable dictionary to help ensure the accuracy of e-mail and other text entries. Premium phone features, including noise-cancellation technology to offset background noise, Speaker Independent Voice Recognition (SIVR) for Voice Activated Dialing (VAD), dedicated Send, End, and Mute keys, low-distortion speakerphone, and Bluetooth (2.0) support for hands-free use with headsets, car kits and Bluetooth peripherals. AT&T Push to Talk (PTT), running on the largest PTT network in the U.S, so customers can use the service to stay connected with individual colleagues, friends or family or to set up groups for broader communication. | andrbea
29/5/2007 20:03 | Well, anyone who bought at 4.5/5p is sitting on a healthy profit, so (in the absence of news) we should expect a (healthy) pull back. But the medium to longer term picture looks great and my holding is sitting pretty in my SIPP. | pbracken
29/5/2007 09:52 | wasn't there an alliance between VSNL and MBT last year (PoC) anyway VSNL has an alliance now with skype (May 23) would that be relevant (more coverage for MBT's PoC system?) | andrbea |
