sdawson - ctm is a sitting duck for a takeover at this level with a NAV almost double its current price - can't see it going to 100p again. Morgan Stanley put out a strong buy on the 19th Sept with a 600p target. Staying very long (not a daytrade) especially with cw's cash pile just increased by another £700+m.

Thanks . Iwill try that.
I am back again now after cancelling out and waiting.
The software is not idiot proof but generally it is more fun watching
the positions go up and down. There is a greater sense of trading with this system than a broker.

there was a trade of 12m shares in tomk at what appeared to be the ask price,this was a "n" trade the description being as follows:-'N' Non Protected Portfolio
"A non-protected portfolio transaction or a fully disclosed portfolio transaction. Normally a transaction of a number of stocks dealt with by one market maker at an agreed discount to the market price".

Does this have any relevance good or bad for the share

can anyone enlighten me on this one?

can someone please confirm for me what service i should be getting for my monthly fee of £50 to advfn,all ive got running is streaming monitor and 2 L2 windows,just tried to open 3rd L2 window,worked ok for a min then got message saying too many windows opened on my current subscription,what can i run on current package,thanks in advance,oh and of course i have the most important page running too,the traders thread

1] thats ok croc but i missed it again.hint next time
2] goforit new machine great. gni in the last 2.5 days only stopped once. also may have cut the phone bill in half. as for, has it paid for it self well as long as i don't have another friday again like the last yes.mind you if you have any pull with the fste, down will be nice.at the moment brain says down eyes are saying up me i am confused.

Llucky - wouldn't be surprised to see people going flat if there's been no military action. As for rally personally I think some stocks are exhibiting good bottom characterisitcs, in partcular barc and rbos - will be looking to short these on retracement of their current gains but good volume and classic morning star patterns formed. Will these be retested - who knows but I think these banks might have established the beginning of their uptrend.

So that;s now put paid to their bullish rebound.

GNI, I had two engineers out to look at my system last week, my connection goes dead on touch often every hour. Normally I can just log back in, but it is very frustrating. Compared to US systems like mytrack, touch is volatile and unreliable. Whats worst it seems to be most unreliable at times of high volatility ie when US market opens in the afternoon. If you're trading aggressively, this is when you need a trading platform most. I've let them know my views and I hope it improves otherwise I'll be using them less.


Am on a few days off, so unwinding most of my positions. I reckon a small US bounce over the coming days.

Mr w got in ags @79.5 and watching carefully,although its one for a longer hold for me,maybe a week or so,Whoopsie,i dont have a position in log,can be costly if you pick the wrong direction,but as ever still watching
