06/6/2018 07:04 | Another small placing .....this is taking sooooooo long you couldn't make it up. | jamdan1
05/6/2018 21:15 | And I read somewhere tucked away at the back of a set of figures something along the lines that certain members of the bod would be due bonus options if the share price reached 50p+ for (Ithink) 10 consecutive days, so judging by such an incentive they wouldn't accept an offer of anything under that presumably?? Comes out at a market cap of approx. £110M so might be a little high for even this project with its planning, but if they develop the project they might get that at some stage along the way, but you never know they might not be remotely interested in those options ! | wi1l
05/6/2018 20:44 | That's a great idea Glibgibon. The Align Research covered that and say that "a complete disposal or a situation in which a third party takes a 50% plus stake in either Minoan group or its subsidiary company, would require the permission of the Toplou Monastery Foundation". It can be done then just need them to agree it which might or might not be acceptable. IMHO first of all they need a satisfactory conclusion of the sale of the T&L business which would be one major obstacle cleared and would open the way possibly to an outright sale (which might also be on the bod minds considering how old they are getting). The couple of normal years to develop the sites would most likely be that much more with their Minoan time-scales. Still feel its a one-off project and there must be fund managers with ample funds just itching to get involved in such a project (take Dolphin Capital as an example?). | wi1l
05/6/2018 18:19 | atlantic57, agreed although what I'm not sure about is a change in ownership of MIN. MIN's ownership rest with shareholders, and they change daily, so as long as MIN exists as an entity? As I say not sure on this point, but agree they can't just sell 100% of the project. | waterloo01
05/6/2018 17:15 | Hugo glibgibon is correct any sale of min Gives the church the right to object. Min could sell 90 % of the project if they Wished but not 100% | atlantic57
05/6/2018 17:09 | I now think we will see a sale of MIN before end of month - hence the delay in T/L. I expect there will be a small premium over present price but the MM will try a major shake out over the next few days. Hold firm everyone. | hugothesecond
05/6/2018 16:41 | If we're dishing out theories, how about the prospective JV company has looked at the figures and instead of taking a minority share are wanting a majority, but the way the agreement is structured with the church means this would not be possible. As a solution they are instead evaluating a takeover of Minoan (but don't want the travel side so it is getting flogged). After the sale they will agree a price and we'll all be rolling in it. Time for my meds! | glibgibon
05/6/2018 13:29 | I just Don't Bloody believe it! | pj 1
05/6/2018 12:16 | Don't mind PJ he is just another Victor Mildred 😜 and as you know PJ any news bad or good cannot be delayed they have to RNS it. | scotty1
05/6/2018 12:06 | Respect to you Scotty for hammering the execs :) | colinzeal
05/6/2018 12:04 | pj1 your a basher every single post is negative in anyway you can find your a tool thanks Scotty i know your genuine and have regular contact | optrade
05/6/2018 11:45 | scotty. Thanks for the feedback Somewhat tongue in cheek and as a pessimist, plus on the basis that Companys rush out good news and delay bad then I will go for...… T&L discussions terminated. I hope I am wrong. | pj 1
05/6/2018 11:40 | Thanks for sharing that Scotty, at least it isn't "impending" or in the "near future", "soon" sounds pretty close to me even in minoan-time frames! | wi1l
05/6/2018 09:26 | Minoan hit an upwards weekly price breakout. 33 minutes ago - MIN triggered a breakout alert. Looking good for a breakout accordingly, some just cannot see the wood for the trees, may and as been a long time coming but imo the time is nigh,do the maths 🤔 | scotty1
05/6/2018 08:05 | Offer creeping up,buys at 6.4p,news could land any time, hopefully see another up day,way undervalued with the asset they have,be in before the herd arrives which they will imo 😁 | scotty1
04/6/2018 12:37 | Looks like seller cleared with that sell delayed from Friday, may see some upward movement now with a bit of buying.Tick tick. | scotty1
04/6/2018 12:23 | And quite unexpectedly up we go! | wi1l
04/6/2018 12:11 | hmmm The 'lack of funding' scenario for the Purchaser certainly seems to fit. It certainly wouldn't be the first time this scenario has played out. However, for all we know, the funding may be more complicated than we know, for example, the buyer could be undertaking a number of purchases at the same time. Doubtful though. I did find it unnerving that a paid for researcher had to reaffirm progress from a paid for article very recently. Why didn't the Company update us direct? Maybe those here who are in regular contact with the BoD could seek more clarification? It would be extremely embarrassing for MIN if TCW's article proves correct. By the use of his last sentence ''update it's long term suffering shareholders'' implies no shares held or the word ''us'' would have been used. Unless there is some fact behind it off course. Very worrying at least imo | pj 1
04/6/2018 11:13 | The amount of time taken for due diligence is laughable for such a piddling transaction. It is self evident from the delay that something does not feel right. The Board will have to communicate with shareholders by the end of the month of June 2018. Minoan is a salutary lesson for any private investor , never fall in love with a stock. Those of us who have been here for many years have been foolish, we thought the Bod would generate value for shareholders. The only thing they have achieved consistently is generate substantial salaries for themselves. There is still time for the Bod to pull a rabbit out of the hat. However it is feeling increasingly like we are on the titanic and it is 2.20 am | atlantic57
04/6/2018 10:48 | You're more likely to see Egleton strip stark b0llock naked and run down The Strand than get an RNS in the near-term. | colinzeal
04/6/2018 10:37 | It would now seem logical to conclude that the Purchaser is struggling to obtain the funds to proceed with the Travel business purchase. The constant delays in updating the Market is disgraceful. Due Diligence just cannot take this amount of time, just imagine the costs that would be built up if it did. Other terms must have been agreed or Due Diligence would not have commenced which were confirmed by the use of "credible" via RNS. Maybe the Company would care to update it's long suffering shareholders? | the covert wanderer
04/6/2018 07:07 | Not at all sandcrab. The DCI marketing was showing a project not so far away but as far as I can see the CS project is a development over at least 4 similar areas plus a golf course. Phase one was supposed to be a hotel/apartments/gol | wi1l
04/6/2018 05:51 | So the CS project at Sitia is worth just $16m ? | sandcrab2
03/6/2018 08:46 | That's interesting fireplace - Probably just clutching at straws but was hoping to see similar marketing on Minoan plans for their golf course, hotel, marina etc which is a part of their development. However, it shows there's value in their development in the same area of Crete at the very least. | wi1l |
