08/12/2003 22:37 | Just about touched $82. Decade chart looks like it is getrting tired, as it touches the Upper Trendline | energyi
08/12/2003 17:22 | Thinking of building some shorts through a longer term account at 81.48 and above.....looks like a correction is due shortly. Maybe safer to play through options and the vols look good for that. Haven't been involved in mmm for a while as it hasn't looked good for a short for a while.....but now looks like the time for that shorting finger to hit the sell button. | kvu
12/8/2003 17:30 | Cheers Mr E I hope too many shorters weren't barbequed in the process. I don't think I smelt to much bear fur burning over the last couple of week. | kvu
12/8/2003 17:00 | Good one, KVU. It hit your target after all! | energyi
12/8/2003 16:41 | $143 target price not too far off. Share split however makes it dangerous for me and I will more than likely avoid it now unless I play it though options only. | kvu
02/8/2003 15:41 | Looks to me like it might be peaking... | energyi
02/8/2003 13:38 | Thought I would bring this to the top. I am looking to build some nice option positions on this stock. I am looking at the MMMMH $140 Strike Jan 04 PUT options on thursday at a price of $7.30. As long as the MMM stock is below $132.50 on expiry I should look to make a profit. Lets see. I may put in an order if my broker allows me too. The coming weeks could be interesting if the volatility index moves lower causing the options to look even cheaper. I still favour $143 as a target price. | kvu
17/4/2003 16:22 | Thought I saw something on Yahoo about J P Morgan reducing profit estimates for MMM but can't find it now; also KO results seem to have knocked sentiment towards Dow stocks. Maybe Joe Sixpack was cashing in his winners to buy Easter eggs and clearing out the "expensive" shares? Have to admit yesterday's weakness in the Dow came as a surprise to me. I thought kvu's comments were spot on and almost sent off a reply agreeing with them. Talking of Lycos, their charts have just frozen up. | jdeltablues
17/4/2003 14:42 | NICE $4 drop. what caused that? | energyi
16/4/2003 19:57 | no kvu. Only just looked at it. The 5 min chart on Lycos was a gift. Sadly out doing other things. | pherring
16/4/2003 19:32 | Well I guess I spoke rubbish on my last comment. Anyone who would have shorted it yesterday could have made a killing with the $5 drop or which was around 4%. Hope no one listened to me that time... | kvu
16/4/2003 00:28 | Nirus. My opinion would be not yet. I would be looking at another $7-10 to be added on if we get a rally above 9000 on the dow. I think that is a serious possibility. | kvu |
