08/5/2007 09:28 | Dave, Let me tell you this - I have been involved with GEX since 1993 and in my experience GEX is one of the tightest firms a shareholder could wish for when it comes to equal access to information. If there is a "leak" its far more likely to come from someone in TW crew rather than the GEX team. Its my view that such purchasing is not simplistically based on a leak but on the basis of information that is out in the market, including the opinions and data published on this BB. All IMHO. | ![]() bongo bwana
08/5/2007 09:18 | 109k at full price looks like plenty more interest in these I still think there is a leak | davenic

08/5/2007 08:12 | news any day this week then :-) | davenic
07/5/2007 23:24 | Serpico - you beat me to it! Any further rises and it wouldnt suprise me if we got some more press like last year. Very much looking forward to the results, just hope the rise can be sustained in the run up to the agm. Good luck for next week all, here's hoping for some more bonanza grades :) | ![]() robbi123
07/5/2007 13:30 | A mention on the minesite weekly round up: Glencar Mining (AIM: GEX) gained 16 per cent to 13p on the back of a positive reaction to a £2.3 million placing announced last week that will enable the company to further its gold exploration work in Africa, as well as news that JP Morgan Asset Management has increased its stake in Glencar to nearly 10 per cent. | ![]() serpicouk
06/5/2007 20:26 | I'm not a chartest...b-u-t...a return to 15p next week would be quite interesting from that point of view. Assuming assay results are 'only' good then we might expect a slight down trend after next week....might that form the possibility of a 1 year cup and handle formation anyone? For those that believe in this kind of stuff thats a very positive formation indeed. Next I'll be pointing out that the 50 day sma just crossed the 200 day sma... | ![]() serpicouk
06/5/2007 13:37 | Should be a very exciting week ahead be good if we can reach 15p prior to the news !! | davenic
05/5/2007 15:51 | I agree Cestnous. I would say every company leaks to some degree. Insider trading is everywhere. Only human nature. But it depends on what you call a leak. GEX's recent rise is not extraordinary either in terms of the extent and speed of the rise or the volume. Especially when considering that assay results are expected next week. Looking forward to next week. | ![]() serpicouk
05/5/2007 12:55 | All small AIM miners leak, and so do a lot of other companies. Often, when the share price rises prior to expected announcements, the news ends up being good. The opposite is also often true. There are ALWAYS individuals with inside knowledge, from friends of the directors to drillers and staff in the assay companies. Obviously, as an investment tool, this does not work every time but I have found it to be a good indicator. Have a look at the stocks you hold and see what the graph was like immediately prior to good and bad news. | ![]() cestnous
04/5/2007 16:43 | Personally I don't think this is a leak - looks more like a few people (wisely?) getting in ahead of expected (positive?) assay result. I think if the assay results are good then we will see a strong rise up to jorc statement. Now we're moving above 12p an assault on GEX's all time high doesn't seem out of the question. Speaking of jorc - in general (any miner) is it possible to predict (with an acceptable degree of error) what size of resource might be stated to jorc based on released hole data? If so, has anyone modeled it? =) | ![]() serpicouk
04/5/2007 15:55 | Nice 13p now :-) must be 15p+ on news next week I still reckon a leak somewhere | davenic

04/5/2007 10:47 | Few more of those 100k buys TS and we may just get one. Need a rise in volume to see a further rise, otherwise I think the MM's will try to keep a lid on it. There may be a point where we stop for a breather, but all signs are that the next few months will be an interesting and exciting period. Would like to see what TW has to say and see if he maintains his BUY advice.....I would imagine he will:) | ![]() robbi123

04/5/2007 06:48 | Serp I am like you, TMC is my major holding, and am going to start taking profit and move it around, again like you I bought into GEX and will put some more in. Although I still see no slowing down with TMC especially after yesterday's 13% with the largest volumes for almost two years. I would love GEX to do the same, | ![]() keifer derrin
03/5/2007 22:47 | KD: Regarding TMC and GEX. I've held TMC since early last year. It was my largest holding before its recent surge and after the last few weeks it now completely dominates my portfolio. My feelings about TMC haven't changed but I'd probably feel more comfortable with a more balanced portfolio - therefore, I may take some profit. If/when I do then that money would probably find itself here. Whilst it may not out perform TMC I value the fact that we're dealing with gold and that we may be on our way to a multi million oz jorc statement in a few months time. Fingers crossed.
