Well, moving the drill rig is certainly a sign of confidence - after all the resources are there in the ground at Komana and not going anywhere, for the moment!

With the majors and intermediates all hunting for resources, it's quite possible that GEX is getting attention and the calculators are working. If so, the quickest way GEX could increase shareholder value would be to drill another series of bonanza grade holes at Solona which could suggest a Komana West mark 2 deposit. It seems a risk well worth taking as the rig will only be away for less than a month.

Maybe they already have an offer for Komana West, hence moving the drilling
rig(s) elsewhere?
Update shortly.

TS,

Not sure that GEX will do that so quickly.

Komana appears to be so promising that they may wish to bring it to the next level of validation and mineable economics verification.

Perhaps then a good JV - something much better in the longer term than an outright sale if the price of gold continues its upward spiral or even stabilises around current levels.

good findings certainly, happy that they can put out a very decent resource estimate but they will be returning back there in 3-4 weeks (bonus). Sale of Komana west to a major looks inevitable.

Get a resource estimate and sell it off and so on

Moving drilling away from Komana West hopefully means good/excellent findings and no need to continue there for the mom. Onwards and upwards IMO.

Almost all small mining stocks go up prior to favourable drilling results, because of insider information being leaked to friends and favoured investors (as do a lot of other stocks). This may seem cynical but experience has shown me this is not always, but very often the case. Have a look at announcement date/ nature of result for any of them. Would be an interesting survey.

Maybe we'll get both Komana and Sankarani results at the same time

Work Programme Update

We are taking a short break from drilling at Komana West and we will
be sending the drill rig to complete an initial drilling programme on
one of the targets on the adjacent Solona exploration licence. This
target, Badoga-Malikila, has been defined by field mapping, rock
sampling and gradient array geophysics.

Drilling is expected to recommence at Komana West in approximately
3/4 weeks time, following the completion of the Badoga-Malikila drill
programme.

The Komana West deposit is 95% owned by Glencar and 10,350 metres of
drilling there has already been completed. A further statement on
the most recent drill assay results is expected to be made within the
next two weeks.

Drilling is also continuing on advanced targets on the Sankarani
Project, a joint venture between Glencar and Gold Fields Limited,
whereby Gold Fields Limited may earn up to a 65% interest in three of
Glencar's exploration licences (excluding the Komana licence) through
exploration expenditures of up to US$12 million.
