21/3/2007 09:49 | The 86 m intersection falls right in the middle between two earlier fencelines, 200m apart, where GEX had only very little hard data re continuity. | ![]() bongo bwana

21/3/2007 09:10 | The Chairman says about the deposit. These very positive results add significantly to the potential for this deposit. The good grades and, in particular, the extensive downhole thicknesses of mineralization suggest a relatively robust deposit and one which also shows very exciting strike and depth potential. This gold deposit continues to show the signs of becoming a significant addition to the list of large, profitable gold mines in this region of West Africa." This is a confident well thought out statement, which has not been qualified in any way, in fact look at the word "robust" that was very carefully chosen. However when we look again he says something more:. "An outcrop with very similar geology, structure and alteration patterns, some nine kilometres along the Komana shear zone to the south of the current drilling area, has yielded rock samples assaying up to 20 grams/tonne indicating the very serious potential for other orebody occurrences along the extent of the Komana shear zone." Which we have overlooked so far.Another wider indication of the size of the site at Komana. | ![]() haydock
21/3/2007 07:24 | Well done Robbi and thats my estimation of Asheba also. Excellent and all as it is considered by GEX's top geologists, Komana they believe contains even greater promise/potential and yesterdays announced results emphasise this once again. Being a micro cap explorer GEX has to effeciently address its scarce resources to the areas which, in the view of its management/board will produce the best results. To date their concentration on Komana West is a proving to be intelligent decision making - no great surprise there, IMHO. GEX has received JV approaches for the undertaking of further exploration at Asheba but the pace of these discussions has not been driven by GEX, to date. | ![]() bongo bwana
20/3/2007 21:46 | just been looking through the website, and looked at the Asheba concession, there seems to be some very promising results from there back in 2004! I hope once the Komana drilling has been done, we can find out the potential of Asheba. Great update today, i am still of the belief that we are sitting on a very nice deposit here circa 3-5mil ounces! once the market wakes up to this, we will see the highs of last year hopefully! here's a copy of the drillplan: | ![]() robbi123

20/3/2007 12:50 | DaveNic. Yes, quite likely, as what he wrote just now seemed somewhat quickly put together. I suppose MI seminar is taking most of his time, as well as at 11am UK time he does his TV show. Looks good Haydock. Always nice to see that news is on it's way in the future. | boischastel
20/3/2007 12:27 | Also Bois: The southern portion will be evaluated during the next phase of drilling. So even more meat to come, so now we can see a time scale for some of the years news. | ![]() haydock
