24/1/2007 08:08 | RI. 24/10. Nadler's Nuggets: Gold is back in the limelight By Jon Nones 23 Jan 2007 at 12:29 PM In today's update, Jon Nadler of Kitco.com, says a bullish mood has hit the gold market, underscored by solid investment buying. "A pattern that had prices cautiously testing each ten dollar increment in spot values has now brought gold onto a track that could point to the $650 zone - just about where it started 2007, amid almost unanimous optimism from market pundits," said Nadler. "Thus, we anticipate that even if perhaps the going won't be easy above or at that higher number, there will be repeated assaults upon it to test its strength. We have now seen this at $620, $630 and $640 as January has unfolded." "A new quest for capital preservation appears to be taking hold among average investors and they are validating such an outlook with gold purchase levels not previously seen but once or twice in history," he concluded. -------------------- Russian billionaire's Pala fund eyeing more gold producers By Jon Nones 23 Jan 2007 at 03:01 PM Russian billionaire Vladimir Iorich's $900-million investment fund Pala Investments Holdings Ltd. is studying further investment in gold producers. Joseph Belan, managing director at Swiss-based Pala Investments AG, said gold miners are "near the top of the list" of resource companies the fund has an interest in. Pala Investments recently became the largest shareholder in Australian gold mining company Avoca Resources Ltd. after buying a 13.3% stake from Gold Fields. | boischastel

18/1/2007 09:46 | RI. 17 Jan 07. Nadler's Nuggets: Breaking through resistance at $630 By Jon Nones 17 Jan 2007 at 12:22 PM In today's update, Jon Nadler, analyst for Kitco.com, said the market took on a firmer tone once again, staging a course reversal and promptly recaptured $630. "The apparent shrinkage in the number of foreign would-be buyers of U.S. securities cast a fairly long dark shadow upon the U.S. dollar once again. Certainly, enough of one to overcome the earlier effects of declining crude oil prices." "While it is too early to celebrate, the willingness with which bullion is bouncing higher does give comfort to additional legions of potential buyers," he said. "The year's initial drop has now been halfway repaired, but apprehensions remain quite visible, as additional would-be longs keep hesitating each time energy prices take a dip, each time the Fed jawbones, and each time currency traders sneeze." But "As mentioned yesterday, longer-term buyers may look back later and be reasonably happy about having bought around [lower] levels. So long as they have not spent all their money just yet," he concluded. | boischastel
15/1/2007 11:37 | 2007 Work ProgrammeResource definition drilling at Komana West is scheduled to recommence in mid/late January. This programme will comprise infill drilling over a 1 kilometre strike length of the Komana West deposit so that an ore resource estimate for that portion of the deposit may be calculated prior to June 2007. Drilling on a number of targets on the Sankarani Project, under the terms of the Framework Agreement with a subsidiary of Gold Fields Limited is currently underway and it is expected that results from that programme may be available towards the end of January 2007.Hugh McCullough, EurGeol., PGeo, Managing Director of Glencar, is a member of the Institute of Geologists of Ireland. He is a qualified person as defined in the Guidance Note for Mining, Oil and Gas Companies, March 2006, of the London Stock Exchange. He has reviewed and approved the technical information contained in this announcement. | ![]() tsmith2

10/1/2007 10:07 | Id expect an RNS with the latest phase of GF's Sanakarani Project drill programme results by the end of the month. Not sure at this stage if firework like ore grade mineralisations (akin to Komana West Dec 2005) are expected but CEO of GEX has advised that the Sankarani Project area has been identified as containing similar geology as that of Komana West and targets with similar chemical and geological characteristics have been identified for close examination in this and later phases of drilling. So, its important that the results be broadly encouraging for GF and the PI. | ![]() bongo bwana
