I think when we can get Davy finally off the offer we could move up
pretty sharpish.

I personally think that the initial buying was probably caused by T.W tipping
GEX and bringing it into the publics eye a bit more than it was.I think
the buying as now continued through the leak, rumour or whatever
you want to call it about some kind of update/deal to be announced v.soon.
Even my broker seems to have had a whiff of something in the air. Also some
of the trades thats occured over the last week would seem to confirm it.
Wait and see time, and of course all of the above is imo ;)

Something afoot with GEX.

Sustained and growing buying interest in London over the past two weeks and this took a while to infect Dublin but its caught on here too.

Is it all to do with TW's newsletters and recommendations?

page 66 of express reads:

share whisper: keep an eye on irish gold miner Glencar mining, steady at 11.25p on heavy trading yesterday. gossips believe a positive update is on the way from the company, which is exploring three concessions in mali under a framework agreement with major global producer gold fields.

Not a bad point "nothingventured" and indeed the possibility of a JV in relation to GEX's other assets was mooted at the AGM in Dublin.

Lets see what materialises but if there is a JV announcement with another (different to GF) industry heavyweight about the immediate and aggressive exploration of say its Ghana license area then it could lead to quiet a nice appreciation in the share price

Interesting times, as always with GEX.

Thanks for the comments. Had heard TW's tips could be the kiss of death LOL. Good to see there is substance behind his comments this time.

I know there are a number of JVs that have already been signed. Are there any more in the pipeline?

could well be the announcement of JVing other licences - what gives credence to the rumour is the 7.7 million rollover - that cant be a cheap thing today.

This kind of reporting drives me absolutey nuts.

We are stil in the rainy season in Mali and once its over GEX has to get mobiised once again and get its Komana drilling operations working flat out and that will not be before early October - at the earliest.

Yes! Im certain that a positive update will come from Komana - that update will not be available in the public arena before mid December.

Remember though you heard it first in the Daily Express of the 6th September 2006.

SHARE WHISPER: GLENCAR MINING (gossips believe a positive update is on the way)

I think this may well explain the huge roll over yesterday - obviously someone is expecting news iminently
