23/3/2009 13:21 | My you 're great on the bulletin boards BB. Are your other avatars on other Financial sites as good, with the blarney ? ;o) | ![]() share_shark
23/3/2009 13:18 | Let me recommend that you change that service to a more regular one which leads to suitable outcomes despite the banging of the container around a bit to ensure full emptying occurs. Im sure that would bring a glow to your cheeks too!!!!!!!! | ![]() bongo bwana
23/3/2009 12:45 | SS - ur been naughty and U know it too. HMc has to stretch budgets and get the best return out of scarce resources, including his time. Hay - Ive been gifted the equivalent of a transporter to the ear of The Almighty and his legion of Saints (presumably 100% Roman Catholic) so at least one of them might listen to what I have to say about HMc. Spacer is right on the money IMHO. | ![]() bongo bwana
23/3/2009 12:22 | Agree space. Resource defination ?. Absolutely and all the time he attends to his company business, where ever it may be. | ![]() share_shark
23/3/2009 12:15 | I've never had a problem with HMcC's approach to newsflow - to me he appears to tell it as it is and when available or obliged. Real news can't just be produced from thin air - there either is news or there isn't. We just need to patient and let them get on with resource definition. | ![]() spaceparallax
23/3/2009 12:12 | I dont think he does because he never answers emails. | ![]() share_shark
23/3/2009 11:39 | He wouldn't have to waste so much time answering shareholder queries if he managed the newsflow better instead of trying to second guess the market reaction. | alibongo612
23/3/2009 07:07 | Lets hope so Oracle, I have a feeling we may have a mini rally again here, hopefully this time we can hold onto our gains:) | robbi123

22/3/2009 17:28 | BB. It was meant as witty comment only, made from the Basilica at the Priory. We all know what an excellent job you do in attending the AGM and reporting back to us on this thread . I was not critizing you at all. | ![]() share_shark
22/3/2009 15:41 | Guys - the points you make are valid and the point HMc has made about releasing additional drilling results into the market is also valid - especially so when there is an institutional holder selling into relative strength as we have witnessed in recent times. There is the potential for GEX to hit the market with a positive 'haymaker' RNS relating to its Komana deposits. And as time moves slowly on the sands in the hour glass towards news update/release are dwindling - but so to is shareholder patience. I dont believe that HMc and his board have been comfortably twiddling their thumbs in D2 since October 2008. There is a lot of Komana, Sankarani, Solona, Ghana and Ugandan business to be done but there is only 2 full time officers available. Kieran Harrington is 100% active on Mali and Ghana leaving HMc to pursue everything else and thats a lot in an industry where the financing/ banking and legal systems move geriatricaly and ultra cautiously. GEX remains a small yet successful explorer with an institutional holder ready to trickle its substantial holding into the market and until this overhang is cleared HMc's strategy has my vote. SS - I did say the "odd" shareholder - and whilst I may be eccentric on occasion Im odd enough to chastise HMc when I consider hes doing a fine job in the circumstances. The "odd" used was meant to reflect the state of mind of that shareholder who looks for a dividend payment from GEX at its current stage of development and that question is asked at nearly every AGM Ive attended. | ![]() bongo bwana
22/3/2009 13:38 | hi serp, imo hes been holding back till he gets the funding sorted, and will put out an RNS covering that, and the resourse upgrades at the same time, if both things are favourable results , perhaps it will please the market that bit more , we'll see . good luck | ![]() deka1
22/3/2009 12:14 | I've been thinking about HMc strategy of withholding company related information (both in terms of operational and financial plans&progress) from the market. My understanding is that HMc feels GEX shareholders will sell up if they release good news. If the above is true, which I have significant doubts, what about the other side of the coin? How many new investors and how many existing shareholders have held off taking another tranche over the last 7 (seven) months because all they've had to base their investments on is 1 (one) solitary piece of news - a (somewhat average) resource statement for the 07-08 season. I've taken 4 tranches in GEX over the years and would take another if the company assured its financial position and demonstrated continued acceptable gold grades. As GEX have demonstrated neither for a long time I don't feel I can take another position - I'm sure others are in the same boat. If they outnumber those that would sell up on good news then you have to question HMc. | ![]() serpicouk
