Interesting to note that this is the first time in a while that we've haven't dipped back after creeping up on the previous evening's close. Given that several explorers have seen significant rises recently and we're due a definition update, I felt it prudent to grab a few more.

Could only get 15K @ 3.7p.

fingers crossed!

Seems Hugh is recently back from a few weeks in Africa.

Wonder if he went the mining conference/convention at Indaba and spoke to Gold Fields or any other company on potential deals ???

Seems there will still be no news for a little while yet although mining juniors are picking up now.

After the debacle of HIF, I reviewed the situation & decided to add more GEX yesterday.
It seems many of us are bullish on GEX this week.
It must be something in the air.

Anyone seen that crocodile, or is it at VGM now?

Very nice BB, Goodbody's moved up, only DAVY on the offer now. I do think these may have a run earlier than you think:)

Fingers crossed

Figures for VGM --- producing miner with value per ounce of $6.
Looking for rate of 110,000oz per annum by end June --- cost per ounce should be down towards $500 per ounce

Figures for CEY --- not producing with value per ounce attributable to CEY of $130
No idea what their production rate may be at the end of June or their cost per ounce, too early to know as they haven't yet produced anything.

Anyone care to do an exercise between the relative current market cap of VGM and CEY and their projected levels of production (say at 30th June 2009) and current SP's - assuming a constant gold price of say €950 in the meantime.?

OK guys - whats the story on VGM please.

All I need is current market cap and actual production or near term projected production figures.

I have had dreadful experiences in investing in sub 1p firms so Id usually be reluctant to engage with a firm like VGM but seeing that 2 of the top posters here are in Id appreciate Ur help.

robbi - there's a very good chance of a j-curve in VGM in the very near term, presenting at minesite on 24th Feb, keep your eyes open for the break out if you are interested.

welcome on board seagreen. VGM does look interesting, particularly if 1p breaks.

You are right, a J curve could well be possible here, there does appear to be a shortage of stock at the mo, which could prove pivotal if the herd jump in. It seems that there have been punters jumping in gold juniors across the board, yet GEX, with a decent resource, excellent projects and quality management have been overlooked. I believe it is only a matter of time before interest increases here, a couple of up ticks may get the momentum going, with a bit of news/press to boot...that would be ideal!

seagreen, welcome. Plenty of potential on the 5 Mali licences, Komana looking to have quite outstanding potential.

Not clear on how the realisation of that potential will work out but confident of a mine at Komana. Also great boss in Hugh McCullough who has shareholders interests at heart.

Not a rapid advance potential stock as for VGM but good over the medium to longer term.

Anything specific that brought you in ??

1waving joined you here over the last few days not easy mind so just a smidge, but looks fairly undervalued and that resource could get larger, mind you it shows how undervlaued our dear old vgm is!
