09/3/2009 10:46 | Hi Wispa, hope you have recovered after your Hols. Possibly a bottleneck in the labs..? memories of WAD & waiting on news for a long time ....... they had to withdraw from the country (Sierra Leone) due to civil unrest..Situation alot more stable in Mali, but near hot spots....close to Guinea border where they had a Coup for Christmas.. | dr fillip strange
09/3/2009 10:39 | W, I think it all boils down to whether the news is scheduled or of exceptional significance - no doubt the results when we get them will paint a further development of the resource as anticipated, rather than blockbuster news. | ![]() spaceparallax
09/3/2009 10:38 | There is a que of drilling results to be released but HMc has advised intelligently of the need to be patient. | ![]() bongo bwana
09/3/2009 10:23 | spaceparallax, if there are significant new results, then surely he duty bound to release them. | wispaman
09/3/2009 08:32 | W, It has been said before that Hugh McC is reluctant to release results into a weak Mkt. | ![]() spaceparallax
07/3/2009 23:23 | can anyone come up with a good reason for such a long period between updates, during the drilling season. lol wispa | wispaman
05/3/2009 19:45 | GEX fits in somewhere, subjective I guess as to where at the moment; | ![]() haydock
05/3/2009 09:04 | I think i have read that this is of great significance for miners? Coppper on the rebound? By the way anybody doing the Japanese clouds? We seem to have passed through ours & be floating above. Blue sky??? | ![]() haydock
03/3/2009 11:49 | A lot of stock on the move. Buys not sells? | ![]() haydock
02/3/2009 16:24 | I can see only a single 20K sell declared and yet the sp's up. Presumably, the MMs have a sizeable Buy order to fill. | ![]() spaceparallax
26/2/2009 22:06 | And also, the reasons are not always declared upon the day if a non-ordinary trade is in play. | ![]() spaceparallax
26/2/2009 19:42 | The reason is that there hasnt been the buying pressure like there was at the start of the week. Most of the buys at the start of the week were most probably directed to the MM with the seller who was gradually creeping the offer price up. Now the seller has been cleared, there has been a lack of buyers. MM's dropped the price to encourage business. | robbi123
26/2/2009 19:34 | So whats the reason for the fall today on two trades? | ![]() bartender18
26/2/2009 18:02 | bartender - the price was not walked up at all. There was considerable buying which fell into the sellers hands. If there wasnt a seller then we would have spiked higher. Instead the buying pressure was subdued slightly which is why you have seen some impatient punters taking a small profit or maybe a small loss. This share should not be trading at these levels given the increase in gold prices and the subsequent bounce in gold juniors. | robbi123
26/2/2009 16:04 | It looks like the price was walked up to let the 3 million out at a better price, now its being walked down again IMHO | ![]() bartender18
26/2/2009 15:13 | Hi Robbi & 1W, HMc has certainly vocal in his reluctance to release good news in the recent Mkt; understandable in many ways because of the way it was being absorbed amidst the general overselling environment. It'll be interesting to see how things develop, with us having gained comparatively little cf similar peers, despite the significant price rise of gold. | ![]() spaceparallax
26/2/2009 13:43 | Looking forward to news -- whenever it may come. Komana is pretty much a known quantity so we have a fair idea what to expect. Sankarani is not so much of a known quantity as the drilling wasn't so advanced as at Komana, but with aggressive drilling from Gold Fields over many known deposits and targets this drill season it could turn out to be the real crowd pleaser !!! | ![]() 1waving
26/2/2009 12:56 | Think so space - just a general breather in gold stocks and gold generally. Hopefully Hugh will get the timing right to release a superb RNS! | robbi123
26/2/2009 12:09 | No doubt a temporary breather during the sp's ascent - roll-on resource definition news. | ![]() spaceparallax
25/2/2009 17:07 | Interesting that the share price didn't shift today despite most trades being declared sells. Smells like a mopping up exercise. | ![]() spaceparallax
25/2/2009 14:00 | Well no Jury needed at the moment we are in the ether, at least for the last few days. | ![]() haydock
25/2/2009 13:06 | haydock -- am not an ichimoku expert but some parts are quite simple to understand. You need to look at the lagging line that follows the share price line, that line needs to move through and above the cloud and preferably stay there for at least a short term consolidation above the cloud to be bullish, the opposite for bearish. Inside the cloud and the jury is out until a break is made. Quite often the lagging line will bounce off the top or bottom of the cloud and stay in the cloud. The break above or below is the important bit. Hope that helps. Edit --- The longer time period the chart, the more reliable ie. weekly more reliable than daily. | ![]() 1waving
25/2/2009 12:56 | Ichimoku clouds, flavour of the month, see i/c last week. If anybody has any knowledge, just look what GEX has done to the cloud, gone into the clear blue sky above. Can be seen on the chart pages, very interesting but any experts to tell the tale? | ![]() haydock |
