Great video, MAFL best kept secret in precious metals AIM.

Will the crowd arrive in anticipation of NAV update or after. Either way, its win-win for those already in.

what a cracking video, i was left somewhat gobstruck by the statement re lack of any value attirbuted to Redcorp/LS project in previous NAV. the cash receivable alone is worth 15p (albeit over a period of years) and having put my thinking hat on the residual carry is in a rather broad range of 20-40p dependant upon the resource upgrades and the dicount model used. all are welcome to shoot me down. (oh and yes i did enjoy the stifled laugh!!)

You also need to keep an eye on this price:

MAFL and TH Crestgate got a chunk of shares as part of the deal for Ascendant to buy into the project. MAFL took over TH Crestgate and now own all the shares. Which is going to be over 3% (maybe 3.5%) of Ascendant. Market cap is currently 36.222 Mil CAD.. which means MAFL's stake there is around 650-700k GBP. Add to the working capital and other assets, and we have a good looking vehicle here.

Welcome. It should be a good ride for the next few years as Ascendant completely pays for all exploration and further on, the construction of the future mine. Zero risk to MAFL.

Ascdendant's new presentation today. A nice feature included on Lagoa Salgada. Comparisons with the other nearby working mines.

thanks for that btfd, i think that some value must be placed on LS, but agree that the parameters are wide to say the least.

I did some rough calcs late last year, based on what was known from June EoY, plus what they accumulated from taking over TH Crestgate. I'd say Nav will be in the 11-13p range. That's because they have assets of TH Crestgate (cash and shares) .. It's a range, because we can't be certain the prices of all the shares they own at period end.I have no idea if or whether any value will be attached to Lagoa Salgada in the Nav. You'd expect so considering there's been a buy in, with an initial value placed on it. But whether they do, or whether it even falls in the period for this next update remains to be seen.

so any guesses as to the implications for the total valuation and interim NAV due? i am afraid that the plethora of figures is beyond my analytical pay grade.....

If this new area has the level of grades they have currently, then the recent comparisons with nearby Neves Corvo that Ascendant made in that video could well be true.."The results from these surveys have identified a 1.6 km IP anomaly coincident with the massive sulphide mineralization intersected by the drill program from the layered massive sulphides in the northwest (Massive Sulphide Zone) to the Stockwork Zone in the southeast."

Excellent figures.
"Drill results expected to significantly increase new Mineral Resource in NI 43-101 estimate due by end of January"
Should be an interesting couple of weeks.
Massive increase to NAV due.

Agreed it is a private investor - but who exactly - is there anything that would prevent the Rathbone guy from buying privately for his own account providing it was declared to the company he was working for? How many Philip Howells in UK are going to be wealthy enough (and savvy enough) to go to over 3% in this share ?

The Ceo and Coo both buying under or at these levels, and the Swiss lot going back over 3%, then this.. you would have to think there's value here right?

Things looking up here finally. 2019 is looking set up be a great year for MAFL as Ascendant start buying further into Lagoa Salgada and Zinc prices begin to reflect the huge supply shortage. Here's one of Ascendant Resources founders talking about Lagoa Salgada from late last year. (4 mins in) .. comparison made with Lundin's Neves Corvo mine just 40 miles up the road from LS. hTTps://youtu.be/UpAnabfThMo
