25/4/2006 08:44 | final results out this week | callumross
08/2/2006 18:20 | This is the kind of donkey that the management of MST would never allow to exist in their other roles as activist shareholders. Maybe Christopher Mills has gone soft in his old age? A holder. | saltedcrab
07/12/2005 13:40 | callumross, Is this based on gut feel or do you have some info? Do you know which sector the company will be buying into? MJ | mjcrockett
07/12/2005 12:42 | I know I started this thread in January 2004!!! but I am now pretty sure we will get the long awaited announcement next month (ah well, at least I was 2 years ahead of events!) | callumross
03/11/2005 10:45 | January before anything announced is my gut instinct | callumross
02/11/2005 22:12 | from september Future Strategy and Prospects The Board has been and is continuing to review opportunities for a possible acquisition of a new business with a view to generating additional value for shareholders. Such an acquisition could involve a return of cash to shareholders or the raising of additional funds. | frances2
02/11/2005 22:09 | very very interesting | frances2
02/11/2005 16:51 | First interesting trade for ages. | mbaxter
11/10/2005 21:09 | lol. next week.? | yinyang42
10/10/2005 14:41 | callum Point taken but - to be hnest I've been given a hot one which I need some cash for - and I've been gradually getting out of MST and building a stake elsewhere. It's another dormant stock but at least I have a time scale for them. Sorry I can't divulge until it starts to happen ;( wal footrot - we'll have to virtually kick the s@@t out of each other 'cos now we're both out it's just bound to announce this week - DOH!! To all those patient holders - good luck and I hope it comes sooner than it's taken so far !! | reg5
07/10/2005 09:18 | exactamundo | frances2
07/10/2005 09:14 | sorry reg5 - not quite sure your logic for selling these as effectively it is like leaving your money in the building society as the company has promised to return all the cash to shareholders if a deal isn't done - you would get 14.5p payout so by holding on you were really only risking a halfpenny per share whereas the upside could be between 20 and 40 times this amount and YOU JUST KNOW that after waiting years the deal wil be struck just when you have exited. I am happy to sit on my 150k | callumross
07/10/2005 08:40 | sold the last half of mine a couple of days ago. only £1k worth but i had to leave the order in all day. agree re the reverse reggie, instead of kicking ourselves, shall we just kick each other? | wal footrot
07/10/2005 08:39 | Taking a long time to offload these - had a sell order in for a couple of days - and it's only for 20k - glad I'm not trying to get rid of the 200k I once held ;) Can't complain - I've managed to get some meagre profit from them - but nothing like what I was hoping for. AND - they're bound to announce a favourable reverse once I've managed to sell the last of my holding ;( | reg5
28/9/2005 08:18 | callum Was the results announcement the one you were expecting. If so I'm glad I didn't top up. Thought we might (finally) see some specific news. If there's no action soon I'm afraid I'll have to give up on this one and move my remaining investment to one of a number of more predictable positions. | reg5
21/9/2005 15:02 | edit sorry | wal footrot
21/9/2005 14:40 | Well done Callum - hope you still have the bundle you picked up. You deserve a good return for keeping the faith. Unfortunately my holding is about a tenth of what it once was. Got fed up after they failed to secure the last deal - but I think it was because they proved to be tough negotiators. Unlike some cash shells they are keen to get a good return for shareholders. Am I talking myself into picking up a few more ........ ??? Boring Old REG | reg5
21/9/2005 12:19 | an announcement will be made by the company next week as I understand it | callumross
21/9/2005 11:26 | reg couldnt i just get 29% and kick them out? | yinyang42
21/9/2005 11:17 | yingyang42 If you've got a spare £10million or so they (and I) might be interested ;) Having said that, the list of those still involved is quite impressive - they will, eventually, be rewarded - it's just that it's taken 'em too long to make a deal. I'm down to a very small holding having made peanuts out of some spec buying last year. | reg5
20/9/2005 22:31 | Anyone know how i can buy control and kick these management out? | yinyang42
18/9/2005 11:11 | Sells seem to be being absorbed - maybe something might eventually be happening on this dog. | reg5 |
