So what's the rumour this time - presumably a reverse in to MST - but by whom/what kind of company?

Got rid of 75% of my holding, about flat, but still got a slug of these tucked away.

I'd be interested to hear what people have been getting excited about - particularly those who have been adding to their positions.

I never actually said that they were going to return the cash in my post last weekend, merely that they would announce this week that no suitable acquisition had been found

Callumross, looks as if you are being a tad too pessimistic. The statement indicates that there are still options under consideration and the tone suggests that they are close to a deal(s).

I was aware that one of the companies they had been talking to - at great length - had chosen to IPO. I was just hoping that they might have had more success elsewhere.

Time to move on to fresh pastures - once I get my money back from them.

sorry guys - I believe that the company will announce this week that they have been unable to find a suitable acquisition - all vey disappointing, especially for us long term holders. On the brighter side, my other cash shell, Mark Kingsley (MKP), is, I believe, close to finalising a major reverse takeover. You win some, you lose some!

well, my 'dig' turned up nothing. An email to the kind people at business.com got the reply that the URL is incorrect and will be removed from the site.

Thought it was too good to be true.

I have no experience of that site but why on earth should they have a link like that? unless there is something going on, but surely if that were the case then it would be good form to inform the market first?!

I did say I'd be getting out by the end of Feb but the link up with Thai Petroleum has changed my mind. I've waited long enough so a few more days/weeks won't make much difference.

You get the same result if you do a search on Mid States PLC.

Interesting in the current climate.

Have you any basis for this statement - only the other day you were asking if anyone had information about how soon any deal might be.

Looks to me as if you've punted these and now want to get out. Not very subtle.

I've still got my holding but getting a bit bored with it. May be moving on if nothing happens in the next week or so.

Maybe I should start a thread saying that they are going to acquire an oil tiddler with a major find rumoured in Clapham ;)
