Sounds fine - everything is plodding along nicely.

The market for the Company's eyescreenTM technology remains buoyant and MED continues to generate ongoing design wins and book orders.

That's what they need to give us the details of - otherwise the share price will continue to drift down IMO.

Microemissive Trading Update

RNS Number:4478K
MicroEmissive Displays Group PLC
21 December 2007

For release: 21 December 2007

MicroEmissive Displays Group plc

('MED' or 'the Company')

Trading Update

Ahead of its year end on 31 December 2007, MED, the AIM listed designer and
manufacturer of low power microdisplays gives the following update to the
market. Following the fundraising completed in October 2007, the Company has
commenced volume shipments from its manufacturing facility in Dresden, and is
now delivering product to customers despite having experienced delays over the
last quarter with a key supplier matching volume output from the Dresden
facility, an issue which has now been resolved. Manufacturing output and
yields continue to grow in line with expectation.

Bill Miller, CEO commented: "The market for the Company's eyescreenTM technology
remains buoyant and MED continues to generate ongoing design wins and book
orders. The unique attributes of our technology should enable us to continue to
grow our order book into 2008 and beyond and we believe that the Company is on
track to be profitable on a month on month basis during the second half of 2008
."

The Company will announce its preliminary results for the year ending 31
December 2007 in the second half of February 2008.

That makes MED products a lot cheaper than tft. The tft glasses are £149, mind you that price may drop too.

At least the market has already started to develop. Thats very good news. I guees we will get the pre close season end year statement shortly.

If I recall correctly, the MED based systems plan to have a pricepoint in the region of $100, customers believe that is what is required for the product to succeed.

Apparently this price is possible via MED.

Nope - they use tft displays - not P-OLED.

Anyone care to hazard a guess as to whether these are MED based devices?

I've seen a few of these types of product on the various gadget websites lately

Holding sleepily too, MED still high risk/reward for me. I'm thinking (hoping?) that MED's customers will be targeting Christmas of next year for big sales into IPOD and Video Game markets, and hence contracts won't start until next year.

I guess the participants in the placing in September at 50p were satisfied with the story going forward, just hoping they were right!

OK, sorry if I woke anyone up.

Article in Electronics Weekly today:

MED's latest funding was led by Scottish Equity Partners. Calum Paterson, an SEP managing partner, said: "Customer engagement is already very strong and we expect it to increase significantly."

And a bit more detail from MED's site:

Mr Preben Mejer, who is the head of the Innovationlab in Denmark and a Director in TeleDenmark was interviewed on Go' morgan Danmark on TV2. He discusses the eyescreen™ from MicroEmissive Displays and the PDG - Personal Display Glasses from Mobintech.

Interesting clip from a Danish TV show here, I haven't got a clue what they are saying, but MED's screen and Mobintech's Personal Display Glasses using MED's screen are featured.

Bob Raikes, managing director of Meko Limited, commented, "New technology is always an exciting topic. The story here is that European display technology is not just for the laboratory, but is for markets as well. There's a real buzz surrounding OLEDs in the mobile phone market [Cambridge Display Technology and MicroEmissive Displays], and flexible and low power displays have the smell of a genuinely disruptive technology [Nemoptic and Liquavista]. The technology behind micro-projectors could enable new mass consumer applications based on mobile phones [Light Blue Optics]. The development of these companies is not just a technology story, but a great business story that will likely be of interest to investors, venture capitalists and those who fund research and development."
