08/9/2004 11:31 | Better that than nothing. | watchman123
08/9/2004 11:25 | Any views anyone on the open offer and share consolidation? | ![]() the other kevin
03/8/2004 23:47 | ....a last twitch may be. Am quite embarrassed still having them | ![]() weidner
29/7/2004 19:25 | Weidner, yes agree with you. If you look at the accounts I think you'ill find they have been down hill almost since the start. I had hoped that when the Aussie got on the board last year he would have invigorated things but no. | powlo
29/7/2004 06:03 | Yes weidner, there has been no significant movement here for months. I even forgot I owned any of these shares since I hadn't bothered to look them up since last August. It seems as though this company is a little Charles Fowler private enterprise in the Land That Time Forgot - check out the web site. If they ever reach 1p I'm selling otherwise they'ill stay on the compost heap. | powlo
29/7/2004 00:41 | ....christ, just keel over and die. I should have flushed my money down the toilet. | ![]() weidner
25/5/2004 18:39 | Yea gods, we made it to 9th on the Percentage Leaders board today on only 1 trade @ 0.30p- strange trade though as I cannot make out if was a buy or a sell as the mid price opened @ 0.325p ?? Also exactly the same number of shares (ie 37294) were bought just after the opening yesterday @ 0.35p !! A bit odd to me anyway- more weird happenings tomorrow perhaps- Northwards hopefully !! | captainspock
24/5/2004 23:38 | I do not want to cause false aspirations, but do I detect a little interest about to be sparked off here ? 1 small 37K+ buy @ 8.01am this morning @ the full offer price- Okay it is only peanuts I know, but a buy is a buy & on such an illiquid stock like this any buy is surely an encouraging sight, IMHO. In any case, it would do no harm to anyone to stick this in their monitor for a few weeks for any sign of positive developments. | captainspock
21/5/2004 15:51 | Well this may sound like pure speculation I know but I have it on good authority that MAP are actively seeking to secure some new funding and that there may be an update on this over the next month or so. I cannot divulge where I have got this info for fear of breaching Stock Exchange rules or what this may or may not mean in respect of the share price as I do not yet have any gritty details, but I may know more by the end of next week. What I do know for certain is that Mr Fowler has now returned from his business trip in the Far East, so it looks as if something could be brewing quite soon. | captainspock
14/5/2004 22:36 | Well out of interest here is a rather uninformative reply I have received from an e-mail I sent to the company in view of the recent further slide in MG Capital's share price:- From: "Pat Ballard" CC: "'Rita Chudasama'" Subject: MG Capital Date: Fri, 14 May 2004 17:01:05 +0100 Rita Chudasama has passed to me your concerns, in the absence of Charles Fowler, the Chairman, who is on a business trip to the Far East, your e-mail. It would seem from your e-mail that you have not seen the unaudited interim results for the six months to 31 December 2003, which were released to the market on 29 March 2004. Attached is a copy of that announcement. The company has not issued any other announcements since that date and in the absence of Mr Fowler, you will understand that I am not in a position to comment further on the questions you raise. That said, I am not aware of any reason for the drop in the company's shares save that, as you are probably aware, there is a very thin market in the company's shares. Yours sincerely A H Drummon Possibly the only points of note which may generate some encouragement are the following:- ".......in the absence of Charles Fowler, the Chairman, who is on a business trip to the Far East,......" and "......I am not aware of any reason for the drop in the company's shares........" I do wonder what may well come out of Mr Fowler's business trip to the far east, after all that is where there seems to be a lot of growth right now with so many companys seemingly trying to get into far eastern markets ?? Could start to get interesting over the next few months, IMHO. | captainspock
05/5/2004 13:33 | sorry captain i don't know anymore than you | nissi beach
05/5/2004 12:24 | Nissi Beach....... Any hint on what the hell is going on here as my broker has told me that one of the 2 MM's trading in this stock now has a huge amount of stock to offload- certainly well in excess of the 7.5M sell trade we have seen today ? I had already e-mailed the company to try to find out any snippets of news a few days ago, but surprise, surprise they have not responded. Could this be a prelude to the additional fund raising which was spoken about sometime ago ? | captainspock
05/5/2004 12:20 | weidner..... Sorry but can you please explain what you mean ? | captainspock
05/5/2004 11:56 | ..it certainly fills me with pride to have my patients rewarded so nicely. Thanks chairman, I will remember this. | ![]() weidner
05/5/2004 11:49 | 7.5m MM sell caused it !! | ![]() double6
05/5/2004 11:27 | £1K sell caused that? someone got done by not making it a limit order so if i buy £1K will it go up 50% there must be more sells lurking | nissi beach
05/5/2004 11:22 | ...any reason for this or just utter and complete boredom? | ![]() weidner
06/4/2004 23:19 | About time we had an RNS announcement causing a reaction to match the one that saw TMA explode into action earlier today, IMHO !!!!!!!!! But I guess we all live and hope ?? | captainspock
29/3/2004 23:31 | Hi jdhurry...... Well nothing to shout home about here as far as the results are concerned, IMHO & I have to say I am rather concerned that there is absolutely no news on the progress of new products or new business, nor any news on the recently proposed additional funding requirements which were mooted a few months back. I have sent 3 e-mails to one of the partners since 25 March 2004 regarding the current financial state of the company, but I have still to receive a reply. Personally, I am hoping that no news is good news, but at the moment the lack of activity here is rather worrying. | captainspock
29/3/2004 13:58 | Interims out Mr.Spock. | jdhurry
18/3/2004 17:15 | What's going on here then, or not as the case may be ??? Hardly any movement for weeks & now we see a drop in the bid of 0.08p in consecutive days on the strength on 3 sell trades one of which was 500K sold @ 0.4p well below the bid. Strangely the offer has 0.6p has remained unchanged so all that has happened is that the spread has been widened. NB. On a couple of mornings last week the offer was actually ticked up 0.04p pre-market. Results should be due later this month but still no word on that & there is still no sign of any news pertaining to the proposed fundraising mentioned in December. Excerpt Statement from Annual Results on 22/12/03:- "........The Elite MoneyGuru Income with Growth Trust, to which MoneyGuru Limited is portfolio adviser, has continued to perform strongly. It has been by a considerable margin the top performer among all UK Equity Income unit trusts since its launch in February 2002. The uncertaintly over the future of New Opportunities, however, caused us to defer plans for new products based upon this track record in the UK market, and that has meant that the additional revenue streams that we had hoped to begin generating in the second half of the year were not achieved, with a consequent impact upon our profit and loss account. We have nevertheless been working on other new products, with an emphasis on the renewed potential of selected emerging markets. This is an area where our considerable background and experience will, we hope, prove to be of considerable relevance. It is our intention to raise further equity in the near future to support the future strategy of the group. Our Annual General Meeting of Shareholders will be held on 12th February 2004 at 10:30am at Ocean House, 10/12 Little Trinity Lane, London EC4V 2DH. Charles FowlerChairman" It is so quiet in here you can hear an echo around the globe, never mind a pin dropping !! So where is the long awaited news on further fund-raising & the other new products they have been working on ???? Can anyone else shed any light on this one ?? | captainspock
10/2/2004 02:40 | Well I see we still seem to be treading water here !!!!!! If it is any consolation the AGM is due to be held on Thursday 12th February & the Interims are due towards the end of March so we might just see a little positive interest & action soon, IMHO. If you recall the statement issued with the last full year results in December 2003, mentioned raising new equity in the near future- however the method was not intimated but my guess is that a placing is being considered. If anything the recent bullish run of stockmarkets worldwide can only be good news for MAP in the longer term. | captainspock
31/1/2004 00:34 | Weird, no trades, no news, but mid price up 4.5% today allbeit resulting in just a slight increase on the offer !!!!!! If the MM's have got a whif of something interesting it could be a hint that MAP is due for a run northwards again at long last !!!!! Then again it could just as well tick back down again on Monday- watching with interest !!!!!! | captainspock |
