Posted at 29/1/2007 11:56 by flashheart 74graham - would you be good enough to list the investments of MAP please. Looking to dive in but trying to find as much info as I can. Thanks in advance. |
Posted at 29/1/2007 11:49 by 74graham i see celtic resources are rising today with 300,000 sells and 10,000 buys hope they go all the way north as MAP have 1 million pound invested in them |
Posted at 27/3/2006 23:03 by captainspock Is there anybody there ??Just in case anyone is interested MAP's slip into a loss of £577k from a profit of £904k is not as bad as would first seem as last years profit was primarily due to an exceptional write back of £910k resulting from redemption of convertible unsecured loan stock and the cancellation of a director's loan to the company. Indeed the very detailed statement accompanying the first half results appears to be fairly positive & optimisitic in the long term. Also the late 2.5p tick-up today on no trades, the first upward movement since the share consolidation in Oct 2004, would appear to indicate & confirm that the disappointing loss has already been written into the share price, particularly as it has been on a constant downward trend for around 15 months. IMHO, the worst seems to be in the past & significant recovery may not be too far away although most would probably still consider MAP as a speculative investment- could however be one to tuck away for any investors looking for long term gains. |
Posted at 18/2/2006 00:05 by captainspock Well I guess no-one has been here for a while but just noticed 2 x 69K purchases @ the full 60p asking price appeared late in the day a couple of days ago or so. They were actually "R" trades so I am not sure what the significance of that is but I see someone else bought a few hundred shares today @ 57.5p (allbeit 843 shares to be exact).Whilst I know that this is nothing shout about from the rooftops in a seemingly "dead" company as MAP appears to be at present, but 3 trades in one week must be some sort of record for MAP when you look at the trading history over the last year or so. However, it is the 2 x 69K purchases that are puzzling to me- could this sleeping minnow be about to waken up at long last I wonder ? Only time will tell I guess !! |
Posted at 03/3/2005 03:09 by captainspock Well on the basis of a very upbeat statement on release of the Interims yesterday, this could be the start of very interesting times ahead for a share that has looked pretty dead in the water for some considerable time. With the clear evidence of a new Bull Market in the making MAP could possibly find itself in the enviable position of being in the right place at the right time on the investment front. There is clearly a lot of work to be done to raise the company's profile, notwithstanding building up a new & hopefully prosperous investment portfolio, however I truely believe that things are starting to look upwards from here. One only has to look at the rise in the share price of DAN in recent weeks- up more that 5-fold in a matter of a few months. I'm not yet saying that MAP could take off in a similar fashion, but there are tentative signs of a possible rally in the share price for any punters looking to get in cheap now for the longer term. Certainly one to watch IMHO. |
Posted at 06/10/2004 21:47 by powlo Bailed out - got £1.38 for each of my 1000 new shares. True original cost £4.50 each. Good bye MAP. But more importantly good luck to anyone who still holds. |
Posted at 21/5/2004 15:51 by captainspock Well this may sound like pure speculation I know but I have it on good authority that MAP are actively seeking to secure some new funding and that there may be an update on this over the next month or so.I cannot divulge where I have got this info for fear of breaching Stock Exchange rules or what this may or may not mean in respect of the share price as I do not yet have any gritty details, but I may know more by the end of next week. What I do know for certain is that Mr Fowler has now returned from his business trip in the Far East, so it looks as if something could be brewing quite soon. |
Posted at 10/2/2004 02:40 by captainspock Well I see we still seem to be treading water here !!!!!!If it is any consolation the AGM is due to be held on Thursday 12th February & the Interims are due towards the end of March so we might just see a little positive interest & action soon, IMHO. If you recall the statement issued with the last full year results in December 2003, mentioned raising new equity in the near future- however the method was not intimated but my guess is that a placing is being considered. If anything the recent bullish run of stockmarkets worldwide can only be good news for MAP in the longer term. |
Posted at 31/1/2004 00:34 by captainspock Weird, no trades, no news, but mid price up 4.5% today allbeit resulting in just a slight increase on the offer !!!!!!If the MM's have got a whif of something interesting it could be a hint that MAP is due for a run northwards again at long last !!!!! Then again it could just as well tick back down again on Monday- watching with interest !!!!!! |
