Solid price for the placing given current share price and the amount they're asking for. Expecting this to head swiftly north once placing is confirmed as completed.

Metro Bank CET ratio goes to 15.1%, post the placing... The board are also buying shares and there is a 6 month lock up period for those participating in the placing at £5.00. I think this underpins the share price and if anything the shorters will close out. It will be interesting to see what happens tomorrow with the share price

The problem is Crispin Odey look at what he made on Debenhams.



Metro Bank tumbled after the Financial Times said it was likely to price its £350m share placement at a discount of up to 10% to the current market price. After the close, Metro confirmed that the new shares would be sold at 500p each.

If you don't take up the offer you have dilution.
