One thing a bank can't stand is loss of confidence from customers.

Yeah it’s just going to snowball now, its a lack of education on the part of depositors. This will hurt metro bank as they lose a lot of corporate and safety deposit box income from next year.

Boxes are seized in administration but the contents are safe and protected from creditors, but getting your box may take a long time...and who wants the hassle of dealing with administrators.

Yes I can imagine a lot of boxes have assets that are undeclared and worth more than £15,000. The management is to blame at the end of the day, share price goes from £40 to £5 and you expect people not to worry?

No banking crisis since the run is only on the safe deposit boxes, the money is protected. People don’t want administrators sealing deposit boxes.

They can try to reassure people as much as they want but if the perception there is a problem gathers pace, it will feed on itself. Just like a snowball rolling down a hill....

Uh oh. A run on the bank is coming IMHO. I wonder if this relatively small bank will spark a global banking crisis....

It could fail if the 350 million is not given , its just how many people have over 85k with them. I would not be surprised if the stock finishes at £3 or lower by the end of the month.
