23/1/2019 16:01 | Savage mauling by the City. Cannot pick a bottom here could easily drop another 10-20% tomorrow if Press is bad. | ny boy

23/1/2019 14:51 | “I have never seen this before,” said Timothee Pubellier, a portfolio manager at Financiere de La Cite in Paris who doesn’t own Metro Bank’s shares or bonds. “How can investors trust management from now on? And even more importantly, what is their setup for internal controls? It also raises questions on other parts of the business that could have been misinterpreted as well.” | tomboyb
23/1/2019 14:45 | Staying away until this finds some support, will look in next week to see where the land lies | ny boy
23/1/2019 14:02 | RIP Metro Bank shareholders, it's going to go a lot lower before it moves back up. I expect another 15% drop in share price. | this_time_its_different
23/1/2019 13:54 | NY Boy, not sure why you place much faith in what the brokers would have to say. Their calls on MTRO have been misdirected up to this point, whereas notable shorters such as Odey have been withering about the state of the balance sheet of this bank. Additionally, I struggle to have much faith in it’s management, so directors buying means nothing to me. It will have no effect on the external market forces which they have made themselves vulnerable to by way of their asset quality. | chucko1
23/1/2019 13:32 | I quite like Metro as a back up bank, nice modern branches, online banking and free debit card transaction inside EU, might try them for other facilities but still use one of the big international banks and happy with that. This could be a long term opportunity but at what price, 700, 900, 1000 1500p, I don’t know, will wait too see the write ups and broker downgraded and price targets, too volatile today with dead cat bounces, 1600p is resistance but no more sea yet about chart support. I need to do more due diligence | ny boy
23/1/2019 13:05 | Once they partner with VS these will SOARX! Then we will achieve (8) Peak valuation. | kemche
23/1/2019 12:31 | The branch closure announcement by Santander today, following on from branch closures by HSBC and Barclays, is a long-term positive sign for Metro Bank who continue to open branches. Eventually people will move their accounts to Metro because of the one thing they offer that other banks now don't:- SERVICE. | professor pettigrew
23/1/2019 10:59 | Could fall back to 700p imo. | blueball

23/1/2019 08:42 | on the plus side there was considerable director buying from last July onwards at prices between £21 and £34. I would expect more of the same at current levels. | jurgenklopp
23/1/2019 08:32 | Looks like one to keep on the watch list but catch a falling knife at present, will let the share price settle down over the next few weeks and see where we are, markets are punishing any stock reporting questionable nos. | ny boy
23/1/2019 08:26 | A bank on a PE of 50, trading on 2 x book value couldn't afford a softening of growth and flat Q on Q profits | frazboy
23/1/2019 08:17 | Results are not that bad. Don't see much wrong with them. Regards , MoneyBankingBags | moneybags
