Oil comsumption actually rises on past similar events.... Hard to believe but true.. on avg 20 percent !! Esp people not working .. kids etc Stay at home heating costs etc ... The markets take on oil is wrong.Unless they close down city's etc completely. 1 plane .... avg 250 cars mulling about.Oil could imo sky rocket.

Nemesis completely right the alledged bulls here aren't that just don't see any rational reason why Metro would go bust. It needs to cut costs and the 50 bp rate cut puts it under more strain but its business model does work focusing on sme's while the big 4 struggle with far higher cost bases and much larger branch network. To bring Metro back into profit only requires £11m on £400m turnover or 3%..Strong brand name with growing customer base..growth plans trimmed but they are still expanding.

31st Jan UK 2 cases 14th March 798 cases with 11 deaths..6 weeks...UK population 66.4m of which 2m travel every day on the London underground. Smartie..if that point is reached the Govn would no doubt step in with supply chain finance..QE..in all but another name...Anyway on the other side of the equation savers are already protected by 85k for starters..This is not an apocalypse event it's just some virulent flu that will run out of steam as we move into the warmer months. The flu virus by which time would have mutated into a weaker strain.
