Beerboy Reducing shorts isnt much good in an increasing loan market. Means little.

..........

Its ok if trying to buy a stock low in a half decent sector. But banks have been a pure pig for long term investors for 13 years. Even a trade in metro small time window is risky

i dont see why people are avoiding gold at this time, apart from one - gambling. There is no safe instrument. And whilst gold is not risk free - it wont go bust, and a recession comes one day.

..........

so why bother with metro? Sure you might miss a fast pay day....but in this market? that punt, win or lose, was always a ridiculous bet...

anything that was a mad entry, was never a good trade/investment, regardless of outcome

a win would just encourage you to take the next bet. Market get you somewhere.......

I don't think there's any chance of the shorters getting burnt, but there's got to be a point of fair/real value of the bank, this Virus had shaken the market overall and I wonder had it not happened would the share be at this level. I listened to what you've said and I'm not invested at present which has been a blessing, what I'm looking for is an entry point. Metro has never been an easy share for a lot of people to read, but guess work for me is not an option. I'm just looking for shorts to start reducing as their gains start to look less attractive and more risky.

whats the standard premium in this sector been? i read 30% but i never checked

so say on offer comes in at full premium tomorrow (in this environment?).

lets say 175... this price in any way threatens the shorters now????

no chance

Both Odey and Ena have significantly reduced there shorts, Makes you wonder at today's price how much more there is to gain from a shorters perspective, Metros board is in a mess but its customer service reviews are superb if you agree that it's not going bust then we must be pretty close to the bottom, one hopes.

“Keep Calm and Carry On”

While the number of coronavirus victims continues to rise in the United Kingdom, the Government has taken a calm, steady-as-she-goes approach. That hasn’t stopped panic buying, and this overreaction, Philip Johnston argues, could be far more damaging than the epidemic itself.

Il be closing most shorts by friday late evening smartie. No choice - ive made more in two weeks than most bulls could have hoped for in 5 years. Too much on the table no matter what the expectation. Know what i mean?

SO from next week - its all buy planning for whenever. Time to track them into the crash and see where they are heading
