Im buying in here, the Botswana project looks excellent, building a model that ties out with the irr and npv quoted for 2.53 and 3.00 copper I see the current valuation with higher copper and longer Lom and increased capacity of over 500m usd NPV which gives lots of upside to mtr ...

Yep, added 8% the Aussies seem chuffed with it.

Can't quite trust the hotcopper threads at the mo, lots of trolls cropping up on any thread where MTR have a relevance, all part of the KCN defence mechanism imo because it's PI's votes which will make or break, egm next week.

In a rising commod market MTR's assets look well placed. They have a strong cash position from disposals and warrant exercise afaict. Does anyone have a figure for remaining outstanding warrants?

Nope. I can trade any other share on my watch list, but can’t even get a quote for MTR. Just keep getting the message ‘We no longer allow investment in this stock’. Someone else reported the same problem on the LSE MTR thread.

I’ve had a chat with Halifax & they said that MTR was on a list of stocks that didn’t comply with new EU regulations & that this would apply whoever I tried to trade with......don’t believe that one though!

I’m happy enough to trade elsewhere & that’s why I wanted to know if anyone has had any success in buying and who they trade through.

It appears you have not confimed your details re NI no and dob etc for new rules that came in Jan 2018....give them a ring? Dont think there are any other issues to buy or sell.

Been trading MTR for over a year & tried to buy on today’s dips through both Halifax and HL. Got a message from both brokers that they no longer support trading in MTR due to ESMA and MIFID legislation that came into effect today.

They will still allow sells through calling them, but not online. Has anyone else tried to trade today, and if so, who is your broker?

News early new year re Thailand and MOD should re-set the share price at a more sensible level. The cu price yesterday was $3.20/lb and the last Canaccord broker note in Nov, which targeted twice the current share price for MOD, used assumptions of $2.75 for 2018 and $2.85 for 2019.

Those numbers are unrealistic unless copper reverses, and the note was based on the resource as was then, but we have an update due within weeks. Doesn't do to count your chickens but the outlook is very promising imo.
