14/12/2017 10:35 | Completely agree viv, lets hope they know when to take some of the excellent profit they're making, it only becomes real when its in the bank but they've been pretty astute in the past. LION is being powered by pure hysteria, beyond sensible, long may it last:) | paleje
14/12/2017 10:16 | MTR hold 7.33% of LION so this 2p or so valuation is now EVEN more bonkers! | vivgav
13/12/2017 15:47 | Punters are bored? hotcopper has had hardly anyone on MOD past two weeks so with delays, low volume and xmas approaching a gradual drift down not unusual. They've only got one active project too, whereas we've got plenty going on...and still drifting:( | paleje

12/12/2017 16:42 | It's well thought out, better preparation than some other boardroom coup attempts. They need to do this because they're dealing with virtually all pi's, no significant instis or other major shareholders to secure block votes from, so they need to be open and persuasive. Good luck to them. They must feel very confident about the relationships they've developed with the Thai powers that be, bodes well for KEMCO. | paleje

10/12/2017 16:45 | Not much and their '3p and beyond' is measly. Metal Tiger (MTR) has announced “encouraging early results of T3 underground project mining study” in Botswana and a Water & Environmental Monitoring Program in Thailand… The former, from its 30% joint venture, is that reliably consistent vein intersections from a current drilling programme have seen a 30-hole infill drill programme agreed – to be “targeting an underground mine resource project and to work towards the release of a T3 underground project scoping-study by mid-2018”. Metal Tiger CEO Michael McNeilly added “we are very encouraged by the initial findings of the T3 underground project investigations and the prospect that room-and-pillar underground mining of the high-grade copper/silver veins, developed simultaneously to the planned T3 open-pit mine could make a substantial contribution to the T3 profitability” The latter announcement forms “an important part of the development plan, designed to bring Song-Toh and Boh Yai mines back in to commercial production following the planned IPO of the Thai JV listing vehicle KEMCO Mining PLC on AIM in an environmentally responsible manner”. It follows a six month hydrogeology study to help inform “a thorough understanding of the baseline environmental conditions of the site, during wet and dry seasons and transitional periods” – including interpretations of aquifer location, interconnectivity, and storage capacity and towards the environmental component of the mining lease permitting process. Despite these, shares in Metal Tiger currently remain down at circa 2p. However, we continue to believe Botswana progress, but particularly building excitement ahead of the Thai assets IPO, will see the shares return to 3p – and then beyond and, ahead of this further news flow, our stance remains buy. | paleje

09/12/2017 10:02 | We share broadly similar views LG, I think many more share them and are quietly salting away as and when. Bit of a patience test at times but par for the course. | paleje
08/12/2017 21:54 | MTR’s current share price (or rather lack of upward momentum) is only really of concern to short term holders. Long term holders know that there is an obvious disparity between what Mtr ought to be valued at, compar3d to what it is currently valued it. The. Again, as we all know, the market is always right, and therefore the current price is right. For me, it’s just a continual buying opportunity. My personal view is that the Botswana asset as they uncover more and more resource (and I believe that they will find more resource that will dwarf what t3 is at present), will only enhance the true value of that asset, and in time , the market will catch on. Meantime, I will already have completed filling my long term position, and am happy to wait for the rest of the market to come to the same realisations about Mtr as I have. At that point, the market will re-establish what the right price for Mtr is (hopefully much much higher than it currently is). How long that will take, I have no clue, but I think the pressure is building on several fronts; 1) the increasing size of the Botswana asset 2) the increasing commodity prices. I believe the like of copper, lithium, cobalt, nickel, zinc, not to mention gold and silver are set to embark upon a bull cycle which will last several years. ( I also think the only things that might cause that to falter, are the developing situation with North Korea, and the possibility of significant unrest breaking out in the Middle East, with this latest decision from Mr Trump) 3) the increases being seen in the trading arm of Mtr 4) the unfolding story at kcn which as I say, I believe is a win-win for Mtr, no matter how the egm vote goes in January 5) the impending float of kemco (main blocker I see here is whether the Thai govt will include the to be kemco assets within the Thai mineral mgt master plan) 6) news from Spain 7) a board that so far have done what they’ve said they will do, seem to continually demonstrate their commitment to existing shareholders, and to do everything they can to preserve existing shareholder interests ( all fund raises have been done with as minimal dilution as possible. I like this very much), and I hope that they continue to adopt that approach if they find they need to raise funds in the future. They also appear to be quite shrewd investors.... There are I am sure other risks to counter the above, and I certainly don’t intend the above to present a “rosy”pi L. | lazygun
