I thought there would have been something in the Sundays regarding Infinis ipo.

The only thing I can find in Google search is an article in the IC but I do not subscribe to this publication so not sure how they viewed the ipo.

yes you can - but it will be "conditional" trading for a few days i.e the trades could be cancelled (worst case scenario and unlikely).

So guys,

When you apply for shares and you receive your allocation when can you sell them on the open Market?

I assume its not straight away. Am i right?

Cheers Mozy. Chuffed with Merlin so far. 10% on day one not to be sniffed at. Be interesting to see what happens when it opens proper.

Not a bad end to the first day of trading. With the DOW steaming higher cross the pond I think we can reasonably expect to look forward to another blue day on Monday. As soon as it starts to run out of steam I will be selling my allocation. I never intended this to be a long term hold. I'll be more than happy with 'something for nothing'. A few hundred quid for ticking the online box with Barclays. Christmas is coming, every little helps etc. etc.

B17 - Yes Infinis looks good - 6% yield on that one so an income hunters dream.

Large amount of debt - but what energy company doesn't.

Revenues stable and has large margins in cash generation.

Lots of potential for revenue growth as it moves existing contracts onto the new tariffs + new projects coming online.

Worth a look - liked it more than MERL

Not Twitter but no complaints with a 10% premium on day one and likely to go significantly further in the short term when unconditional trading starts next Wednesday

The hefty scaling-back of any allocations by 45% over the initial £1000 is a strong indicator of good appetite for this share.

Tricky to forecast the long term for this one, at present loaded with debt and miniscule dividend, on the other hand it is a one off with some great attractions which most kids love, global, small float and seeking growth so for me it is a hold.

B17NNS they were not necessary sells, we have no way of knowing what they were, just delayed trades. The system does not define if its a sell or buy.

It's the lack of liquidity which interests me, with 70% of the shares locked in:

"Following Admission:
· KIRKBI will hold 29.9% of the Ordinary Shares;
· Blackstone will hold 22.6% of the Ordinary Shares assuming no exercise of the Over-allotment Option;
· CVC will hold 13.1% of the Ordinary Shares assuming no exercise of the Over-allotment Option; and
· Management will hold 4.4% of the Ordinary Shares."

I suspect that with tracker buying, possible American interest from this afternoon etc, there may be an upwards squeeze on the price at some point.
