Normal retail stuff, you supply them on three or more months credit, then refuse to supply anymore till they pay for the last lot, usually works, can take a bit of time tho` depends on the relationship, ie the Big Boys can hold out for longer.

Yes, interesting company this one. Insured or not, I still don't like the fact that they don't collect their debtors on a timely basis though. Still putting me off this one. Can anyone give a proper explanation for this?

Good morning everyone....good to see confidence building strongly in MPH.

But just for the record....for any still in denial....as outlined by both Michael Morris and the company Chairman....in the Final Results statement dated 28th June 2006...."the relationship between Yves Saint Laurent and Marchpole....which has been in existence for more than 30 years....will terminate at the end of 2006"....DYOR.

Back from two weeks Hols, hope we don`t keep YSL as we will be filling those empty shelves with Ungaro and JCC, then we don`t have to have a design team tied up purely to supply the limited UK market.

CR, well done for seeing sense and timing of your re-entry back into MPH to perfection, well almost 12p-13p or even 16p were on offer.

Hopefully 30p remains fair short term target.Expect profit taking 25p, 27.5p and 30p.Consider should be sufficient good news to wipe out YSL effect & conclusion of OB debacle. No idea which way share price goes post consolidation.Markets are fickle.

To the Directors of Marchpole I say you are doing long term investors proud.Well done one & all and about time!!!

Full of admiration for wbj. What a rollercoaster ride of experience without losing one single penny.Well done friend, your investing career should go from strength to strength.

Target price 30p.aimvho.dyor.

don't think so cambium, it would have a 'C' and a 'd' if it was. Also timed at at 17.06.

The C indicates bargain conditions so someone paid over the odds or uner the odds of the normal trading. So to be able to buy that late in te day they paid a premium, which is quite normal I think.

That's how it looks to me anyway.

There's a second RNS after the close - appears the directors bought more and the RNS has been adjusted.

Someone paid a premium to buy 40K after the close too at 23.75p, 0.75p premium.

Hi guys,

Well it looks like the worm has turned for you long term holders since I last posted. The deal didn't move the price I see but those Director buys seem to have done the trick.

I note from the update a few minutes ago they picked up a few more than first quoted which helps with confidence I guess.

I see even CR has jumped back onboard today which will help draw in others next week I think.

Feel that MPH is looking like it did this time two years ago which could see a quick climb if all goes well. The short term traders will take the quick money as they always do but if the company doesn't do anything silly this may break and hold 25p

I am not joining the party as I have most of my money tied up in SL. which is doing very well for me and the rest set aside for trading the banks and oils.

WBJ, Watch for the short termers jumping ship and try to sell and buy in lower as this method has a proven track record with this one my friend.

Off to enjoy my birthday weekend so good luck everyone.

PS. Hi lex.

Would have been really bullish to finish on an intraday high, don't look like that's gonna happen now? Or maybe they trying their usual panic people out trick!

A huge director's buy at Marchpole reported this morning - so big that it is fairly obvious some good news is on the horizon and I am now very pleased I have built up a huge wodge of these shares at 13p, 16p and 18p!

These three buys look pretty good now as MPH is now nudging 24p. 30p looks like it could be quite a speedy target price now with possibly more on the horizon.......wbj

Hope so Lex, be nice to have a few more enthusiastic investors on board, tired myself out singing the praises of MPH, time for more troops to carry it forward. If I had got this one wrong my investing career would have been over, big mistake I made was not diversifying which added more pressure holding just the one. I will spread my risk as soon as these are around my target price, thanks for your kind words of encouragement over the long haul back from 13p..........best wishes wbj

Because MPH has consolidated for so many months it is within the realms of possibility to have a whoosh factor taking us quickly to 25p-27.5p.We must wait and see.MMs have TODAY sent a very strong signal " BUY MARCHPOLE" now is THE time.....hopefully....fingers xxd........and toes.Tea leaves looked good this morning!

Arthurly - director buys are one good pointer of several in a stock imo. Never a perfect science and not one to use on it's own imo but with positive company statements, new management, turnaround actions and director buying they add up to good clues imo.

Been director changes here as in Tufnell and the FD going but I had looked on them as insignificant, perhaps they weren't.

I can't see YSL being retained still but the directors with their buying obviously think/know that they have a more than sufficient replacement. That 480K buy says quite a bit for me, had it been 50K I'd have been sceptical still but £100K invested by a director looks more than spin imo.

CR - wise words - I've noticed how much emphasis you give to director buys and that must be right.
