Skint...........Easiest thing is to ring your broker and ask him whether they are ex-dividend today or not.

skint - the ex divi and record date are not/very rarely the same date. mph went ex divi today and it then takes a couple of days to check the register of shareholders, which will be done on 18 august in this case. you can sell shares today and still qualify for the dividend (but best to check arrangements with broker first as they can have different rules esp with online execution).

Checked with my broker Skint. Definately tomorrow. So holding them tonight means you get it. Assuming it get's voted in at AGM ofcourse.

After today's vote of confidence from the sellers I reckon the only thing that is imminent is a fall below 20p!

Correct me if I`m wrong, but I reckon these go ex-dividend on Friday 18th August, and not Wednesday as previously mentioned on here. Not that it makes a blind bit of difference, of course!

Ta, just wondered how it reacted historically. It's a shame as we should have been due a move into a higher range soon. Although the divi is nice the XD period may put the brakes on the share price

Yes it will by the divi amount, but in effect you ain't losing anything..you lose by the share price drop but gain by the divi...if you get what Im saying?

Well, the British Bullsh*t site`s "Buy Confirmed" has caused a flurry of buying?

They bought at the impossible price of 21p.

If it was a rollover I suspect the prices were not recorded accurately so we may see a correction to one. Had it been two buys the price would have moved more unless there is a large sell somewhere.Mrs M maybe?
