re - De MODA Americana

It was something to do with Esteban Cortazar, is Colombian and speaks Spanish.

so in contex on the post earlier
I can see you are up to date on ... American Fashion (De MODA Americana)

Indeed. Sentiments echoed by many past and present I am sure.

..

For the record, Cortazar is employed by Ungaro (Asim Abdullah) for womenswear design. The Marchpole designer is Franck Boclet (ex Smalto with a very good reputation). De Moda Americana (???) have nothing to do with anything.

The higher end Ungaro Homme stuff is by Marchpole (worldwide) and sold in Ungaro stores. So if Cortazar makes Ungaro womenswear successful, hopefully it has a positive knock on effect to menswear, even though there is no direct revenue relationship for Marchpole.

Just read the post on Brindy and went quite cold. Very sad news indeed.

I used to email him and he was a great guy.

He will be sadly missed.

cosnova, I agree a balance between reasoned thought and gibbering idiocy is often interesting!

There are very large markdowns at Homebody, they are also throwing in free delivery.

They ought to tidy this page too, it doesn't give a very good impression.

re - What is your problem

I stand by my words and more to sustantiate it on the past were fools was your enphasys by past comments, just time has prove ( share price doubling) who the fool is ( just look at the mirror )
No threat works but against yourself ( mind the train and do not forget to take the medication )
Be more strait instead of double meaning, on the Labour Party is well known as "innuendo"

it's good to hear both sides of the argument, and I for one don't mind the balance we currently have, lol

Esteban Cortazar has been very well received, apparently, I quote "he is very well thought of in America", previous lines of his having been snapped up.

What is your problem, little man?

I doubt either myself or Liam Bilson needs your comments. You had started being civil. If you start the stupid antics again, I will happily repost the old header.

A bulletin board is for discussion, and all opinions are allowed. You and some others do not seem to be able to grasp mine. That is more your problem than anyone elses.

I am sure if liambilson believes I have misreprsented his statement he can say so himself. As it goes, to a small degree I did.

You still have in no way countered the concerns that exist regarding this company. Share price has no relevance to value. It is merely a sum of current opinions, informed and uninformed.

If you would like to explain how they will re-establish UK/US margins and the likelihood of doing so I would be interested. I await the company view which will come out via Hardman. My personal view is that they will, however in the current climate there remains the substantial downside risk that they can't.

Is that clear enough for you now?

I bought a few shares at 17p a week or so ago as i felt it was a good risk/reward play. It then went down to 13p and now it is around 25p. I am in a dilema now as i think the stock market is going to have a torrid time in march/april. I feel medium term marchpole should survive and recover to 100p adleast(my target)--but not sure whether we will see a new low in the next month or so before it rises.

Does anyone have any views?

These shares are less than 5 pence (old money) from a high quite recently in the market of 38 pence (old money).

To all intents and purposes this is blazingly cheap , not withstanding the incredible vagiries of the market to play with this share.

A perusal of the history of price fluctuations of MArchpole will witness staggering rises and falls.

The instrinsic value of the company within these bizarre price swings has not been that significant in terrms of earnings or sales.

This is not a share going bust that is for sure, but neither is it a share for people with weak hearts.

Believe me I speak from experience, having,in the last five years made £329,000 from this share and lost £413,000.

Let's hope the upward movement continues.

Though they are small buys, as MMs are short of stock the price keeps rising
