30/3/2007 19:52 | well, to be honest they cant do any worse than before. All the "dodgy, con-men" are now gone, hopefully the new team will pick up the challenge. it is a risky one still and I think the age profile of the main fee-earners in SMPA - now flagged as their core activity - may not help. If we can just get a couple of "real" acquisitions over the line then there may be some hope. Just IMHO, not ramping or deramping. | mickey dredd
29/3/2007 17:22 | You still clinging on Mickey? I really can't see what it is you think this compnay has to offer other than a terrible track record and a ski slope graph. | jdurrant
22/2/2007 17:52 | I had to pay 2.5pps a few days ago for 300,000, missed the boat sadly :o( The results will be out by the end of March, going to be awful but they are already reflected in the price, hopefully they wont slip further on the final figures. if everyone's losses arent partly clawed back during the next year or so then they never will be, but like I say it will depend on what the recent investors bring to the table and whether the ageing SMPA hierarchy can be bothered to be part of the picture following the deferred earnings share issue. | mickey dredd
22/2/2007 14:03 | Mickey - yes you're right I knew there was a 3 in there somewhere ! This would kind of push the short term target up a bit. Online they are still happy for you to sell more to them than buy from them. Guess we just sit around this level now until some news comes out. Reporting for year end must be soon and what about those delayed deals - perhaps an RNS? Good to see the website now has the correct chairman etc and info on the suspension. Didn't have any update for a while - guess they thought it was the end ? | geng
19/2/2007 20:08 | Geng As it is loan notes then the dilution wont be for some time presumably. The SMPA earnout however will result in some dilution as from memory they get shares based on their result over the last two years since being bought. VT's shares when he previously invested £2m were at 0.3p before the capital reconstruction therefore that made it around 7.5p per share equivalent. HTH | mickey dredd
19/2/2007 16:49 | Interesting ? Holding on to most of the gains Online dealing more interested in buying your stock rather then selling it to you. I suppose with finance in place and those "delayed deals" coming through. The price should realy be back where it was before the panic button was pressed - perhaps around 6-7p However there is some more dilution to be had in return for the finance deal. VT has got his own way to an extent as he and other big investors get another big chunk of the company at 1p per share in return for his loan note. "Further to the suspension of trading in the Company's ordinary shares on 18 January 2007, the Company announces that it has created a loan note instrument constituting #1,000,000 of Unsecured Loan Stock 2012 ("ULS") and has issued #500,000 of ULS. The Company has received binding commitments to subscribe for up to a further #500,000 of ULS at the Company's option up until 31 July 2007. The subscribers for the issued and committed ULS include Pendana Limited ("Pendana"), an investment company which is ultimately owned by the Tchenguiz Family Trust, Ethel Austin Investment Properties Limited, a major shareholder of which is Barry Owen and his family, Corrina Limited, a company owned by Paul Whight, REIT Asset Management, a specialist investment, finance and asset management partnership, and White Star Property Holdings Plc ("White Star"), a property investment company quoted on AIM" "The directors of Mercury have undertaken to put a resolution before shareholders (subject to approval by the Takeover Panel) at the next general meeting to be held by the Company to enable the ULS to become convertible into new ordinary shares of 1p each in the Capital of the Company (to rank pari passu in all respects with the then existing ordinary shares of 1p in the capital of the Company) at a conversion price of 1p per share at any time thereafter prior to 31 January 2012." The only plus most of his stock cost him well over 3p per share. With all this in mind a good short term target must be around 4-5p. If there really are some late signed deals then who knows. | geng
18/2/2007 14:38 | powwow. it depends on what the new guys involved bring to the table and what the overall plans are for SMPA - and how accaptable they are to SMPA. | mickey dredd
15/2/2007 10:37 | wonder where this will go, gone up 400%. any views? | powwow
14/2/2007 20:15 | There are approx 129 million in issue at the moment from memory. i'm sure some of the £1m will be used up immediately to cover the banking position. Geng, VT does not have it all his own way - if he did the EGM would not have been abandoned! plus, what shareholder value?? :o) | mickey dredd
13/2/2007 20:45 | how many shares are there in issue as the information on the finacial information it states more? | beckham7
13/2/2007 16:45 | guys, so they have raised 1 mill. how long will this last and what does it mean for the future of the company now moving forward ? | powwow
13/2/2007 12:58 | Ha Ha Ha Ha !!! VT up to his usual tricks ! He'll remove all shareholder value and get rid of all the small holders and then take control. Still alive - will this one never die ? | geng
11/2/2007 10:30 | It was a great short, now where's the next bunch of wealth destroying con men... | merob
15/1/2007 19:49 | generally, yes. full of crooks!! | mickey dredd
15/1/2007 18:11 | Looks like Mr Franks will never get the chance to prove me right or wrong, so looks like my bet would have been safe if it had been allowed to run the distance. I look forward (bizarely) to removing this worthless piece of sh1t from my portfolio, and wish all you guys better luck next time. | jdurrant
12/1/2007 17:47 | Looks like they aint getting it all their own way :o) | mickey dredd
11/1/2007 15:45 | Looks like they will run and hide | ains4
09/1/2007 19:22 | anyone going to the EGM then? I believe there may be some heated debate there :o) | mickey dredd
17/12/2006 14:22 | I'd take that bet on. Mr Franks wont have any involvement in bringing in any dodgy companies. If you look at the history of this company over the last couple of years all the people "associated" with the "worthless" companies taken on are no longer involved, the people now involved are all Tchenguiz people. I think the next couple of years will be very interesting, its just a shame all the current ordinary investors have lost so much share value which will never be recovered - the only way to try to recover that lost value is to follow your money on this rights issue, and I doubt if many, or indeed any, will do so. All IMHO of course and certainly not trying to ramp this share!! | mickey dredd
15/12/2006 13:26 | Welcome Mr Franks. I wonder what you are going to scalp from this company. Seeing as I won my last bet, I am offering double or nothing on my next one. This 2nd share consolidation will bring a respectable value of 12.5p. My wager is that this Mr Franks will invest in worthless companies with dubious connections and in 6 months the share price will reach the same price as that of today. | jdurrant
29/11/2006 17:51 | Do you think there is anything left in the pot to pay the fat cat. Extra funding can only come from current and fresh shareholders dipping in and that aint goin to happen so it basically comes down to whats left in the bank which is not alot by my figures. Surely this dead horse needs to be buried, its decomposing body is leaving a nasty smell in my portfolio. Suspension can only be around the corner. | jdurrant |
