CordW. Those numbers right re valuation at interims? very good news if so.

Share set to 'pop' today I would think. Esp as they have drifted somewhat for no reason.

Faradion was valued at approx. £38m as of last interims. Now it's been sold for £100m. Tidy profit for MERC's 15% stake. Approx £9.4m uplift to NAV ?

All my stocks that had fallen on no news (mostly on Aim ..which has taken a pounding) are now gently going up on no news. This kind of makes sense to me.

Certainly a great company and not that expensive either

No problem, I can see how you were confused. 5k is the price of their Sonoma headphones and amp system. It’s about economies of scale. The headphones establish the tech, quality and brand and are for a limited music pro/ hi-fi market. The real money will be made in-car but still in the OEM testing/approval stage.

I must have misunderstood the Vimeo and will listen to it again.
Thank you for your guidance

£5000 isn't the price of the in-car audio system, unless you think it involves drivers wearing headphones?

Thanks, Columbarius.
£5,000 seems a lot to pay for even the best audio in a motor car. Are there enough Big Spenders about to provide WA with an adequate market ?

As a MERC shareholder. I was interested to see that sharesoc(of which I am a non active member ) are making noises for the NVT AGM(I am not a NVT shareholder) about the £2.5m performance fee that MERC received from NVT.

You’re quoting the price of high-end headphones which aren’t mass market so your first comment is irrelevant to in-car audio. Saving weight and energy use is very important for EVs.

Thank you for the link to the Warwick Acoustics vimeo.
I do not doubt that the quality of sound provided by WA's equipment for cars is exceptional but there must be a limited market since prices start at £5,000 and for most cars a weight saving of about 5kg is surely not important.
For racing cars it would be but racing drivers will surely not want to be distracted by music !

This share is Manyana Technologies. The shareholders are always going to get a meaningful return on their investment tomorrow. But tomorrow never comes.
Except for the executives and the employees who manage the funds. They take the starter, main course, sweet and coffee, washed down with a bottle or two of Roederer.

Might come back in, but am disappointed that this mob look after themselves so well, with scant regard for s/holders.

given the performance over many years, I don't think the Directors should be rewarded with bonuses just on the strength of their deal, whatever their contracts say, to take over Northern several years ago, shareholders who have stood by the company need to be rewarded first with decent dividends....

More from Edison Group ... "Sustainable model remains undervalued"

"With last reported FUM of £762m, this implies a valuation for the funds business of c £30m, or 7p per share on top of the H122 NAV of 42.4p per share, implying a hybrid valuation of 49.4p per share."
