Maybe it is the potential value they may have to write off in the Balance sheet when they decide how to handle the Brush collapse?
and the on going losses until then
and if there is no acquisition forthcoming

It just all adds up negatively until something happens. It will get better though

Dav1 - Brush is what it is. No one thought wonders were coming out of something that supplies the oil and gas industry. The directors played the share price by making an acquisition statement in that March RNS - the market is now asking them - where is this? They did this to get the highest pay out. One thing I will state - the pay out is not a concern, they deserve it. How many companies went up 300% last year?

Truth is,the shares have been a bit shaky ever since David Roper sold 2 million at slightly shy of 255p.

Yes I would not dream of selling any of mine but I am shocked at at the reversal. It is a puzzle that the BOD keep hinting but nothing transpires. They have always been brief with their statements so I suppose the sellers must be concerned that there is something behind the scenes which is adverse.
I think I must stop looking until say ... Christmas.
I am glad to see a few comments as I feel less alone about this!

I think given Brush is 5% of production the market has run low on patience for the value element that was added for potential acquisition. In March I would say we got an additional 20-30p for them just stating they were on the hunt. Lets hope they do something soon - by that I mean in the next 3-6 months. I nearly sold up before the trading update but held as I believe Nortek would make it upside overall.

One thing is for sure - I feel safe investing in this for the LT so can ignore the short term.

I am convinced that the price will recover as the next acquisition nears.
I don't think Brush is responsible.

Brush only 5% of profit, so a relatively minor player here. The other 95% is very positive IMO.

Anyone know what it might cost in write off to close or dispose of brush.
How much in Goodwill?
How much in Assets etc ?

Panmure today cuts TP to 280p from 355p - BUY
I guess the cut is due to how their analysts would manage the acquisition strategy differently from MRO's management ;-)

Brush has been in trouble for as long ago as I can remember; so no longer news imv.

Market was never going to forgive no solid acquisition news. Not after they mentioned they were on the hunt in March!

Excellent figures with the exception of Brush which continues to disappoint.

Well Panmure have reiterated a target of 355p in preview note. I agree and let's hope the unexpected is positive!

With a very key set of results due next week, it's quiet, too quiet for my liking.I'm expecting the 'unexpected'.

I'd be surprised if there's anything imminent as concerns Brush, given recent sales by Mr Roper.Brush is the thorn in the side.

I was a little concerned on seeing the out-of-character rise this morning, but this was relieved as the day progressed and the customary rot set in.

I have said before that the shares are worth £3 on current business and £4 on the back of a further move.

Razor,Melrose are more concerned with 'coin of the realm', otherwise called money, not this virtual stuff. If they intend to pay dividends in bitcoin, contact us again.
