A few weeks ago the Sunday Times said that based on comparable stocks in Aerospace it should be trading at £2.98.

Hope this may be useful:

The Board is recommending a final dividend of 5.10p. Taken with the interim dividend of 2.40p paid in 2003 this gives a total of 7.50p, representing an increase in the overall dividend of 7%. Subject to approval at the Annual General Meeting to be held on 13 May 2004, the proposed final dividend will be paid on 2 July 2004 to persons registered as holders of the Ordinary Shares at close of business on 2 April 2004. In continuation of recent practice, ordinary shareholders will be offered the opportunity to elect for shares in lieu of cash for the final dividend.

Thanks Cliff, my thoughts are similar - if the contract price is fixed, profits may well be hit. Have held for some years and can't decide whether to sell or continue to hold.

According to Investec Meggitt is a negative candidate which has marginally broken through support at 163p. An established break predicts further decline. Maybe the chart is telling us something, perhaps the results will not be as strong as we hope.

Horsemike yep also been a long term holder, the companys results are always strong and dividend is good,just cannot understand the recent falls especially with the sector it is in and todays world climate,imo it should be trading 220+.

I am a long term holder of Meggitt and have considered selling the stock in recent weeks. What keeps me holding on is the fact that this company has always come in with good results and I do not expect to be disapointed on 7th March.

If you feel that Broker's opinions are worthwhile, the current evaluation is ... Strong Buy - 6, Buy - 4, Hold - 3, Sell - 1.
