Stock seems to have weathered the recent storm quite well, unsure what the unidentified trades were, still good buying volume.

Recently added to holding.

at 1.60p a bargin, good solid company but thought they where to expensive in the £2.60 range with only slow if not solid movment upwards,
expect to be back to £2.00 very shortly, and dont forget the dividend,at these levels a strong buy!.

Don't tip many but could see a nice bounce leading up to results on 6 sept. Not tipped elsewhere but just fancy good results and target price of £2.80P in 2 weeks could be a good stock to go long. Steady company which has bought lots of small companies cheaply resently , profit from these not in these figures due out soon but may be a good earner next year if you get stock soon.

Yes thanks Dave.

Accidentally ran across Laconia Bike Week. Three hundred thousand bikes there and me without mine and no chance of hiring one. Now looking into the logisitcs of getting a container load across the Atlantic for next year.

Quaester.....

Some time ago there was a thread entitled "Who is the worst share tipster?" If you look it up you will find that one of the first replies was me saying that I was a strong contender. Bear that in mind when reading anything I post!

I think that Meggitt is a good reliable company but they wouldn't fit my criteria now. There are better value companies out there.

I don't like the intangible assets. I don't know what they are for in this case but normally they tend to be things like goodwill on purchased businesses and have a nasty habit of proving to be worthless and having to be written off at some point in the future with a disastrous effect on the balance sheet.

Net cash is negative. They won't be able to weather much of a storm with no money.

PE of nearly 20 for what is basically an engineer is too high.

That's just on a quick look and although I don't know about 2003 I think that they are more likely to see £2.00 or less before that.

Are these a value invest or not? (will they go to £5 in Spetember 2003!)

PEG of 1 is OK

Oh yes, had 9.98p per share dividend over my period of ownership out of them as well, so more than doubled. Mustn't forget one of the vital tenets of value investing

sp...

Bloody Hell! I didn't realise Meggitt was that long ago.

I have just checked and I was in at 103p in December 96 and out at 197p in March 99. Almost doubled my money in just over two years. I could do with some more like that.

I've done the Value Investing Course since January and I think that that is more my style. Good solid companies making profits and paying dividends have to go the right way in the end.

I've done very well out of these in the past, but not have looked at them for some time and am a bit out of touch. Good company from what I recall.

Been watching this one recently - upwards move took me by surprise - I was actually considering shorting it this morning, because it looked like it was starting to turn down into its channel again.

Hmm. Looking at that again, you could make a case for that being a break up out of an ascending triangle - must pay more attention the big picture as well as the last few weeks!

it really stayed solid during the past few days, what we need now is some recognition for the shares to really take off.
