11/7/2007 14:49 | Presumably, the Company will be looking to execute some of the promised share buy-back around now. | spaceparallax
10/7/2007 09:39 | Nigel Bacon certainly appears to be voting with his wallet - his stake, via Pertemps, has risen substantially over recent weeks. | spaceparallax
05/7/2007 12:04 | Interesting to see whether we test the 11.25p support. | spaceparallax
03/7/2007 15:58 | Quite a bit of Selling reported so far today. | spaceparallax
28/6/2007 09:29 | Q4U, As I understood it from the RNS, they were simply using the money that was earmarked for dividend to buy back shares. To me it probably does make sense with the share price being at a low - the wisdom of this being that it reflects their confidence in the business outlook (despite presenting caution in the words) and also, it helps counteract the potentially negative effect of those selling on the news. If they're able to pull in more at this level, it'll mean that we've all got a bit more Company and that there's less float in the Market, enabling good share price movement when they have good news to tell. Furthermore, on the matter of debt, let's not forget the substantial reduction already achieved by the sale of some elements and the removal of SBGFinex, which was not doing well. | spaceparallax
28/6/2007 09:13 | Thanks Selet for that. | quotes_4_u
28/6/2007 07:31 | means they are not confident enough to pay down more of the long-term debt.....cash is for working capital purposes....only a view... If company does perform, you keep on having to take into account the potential dilution each time the new chairman's warrant targets are hit... | qs9
28/6/2007 07:09 | quotes_4_u: you're misunderstanding net debt. £25m in cash yet with net debt of £13m means that they owe £38m, have £25m in cash, which nets out to a debt of £13m. | seletvv
27/6/2007 21:36 | Also you have to ask what is the downside if everytime there is stock available the mm's will offer it to the company ?!? | quotes_4_u
27/6/2007 18:55 | Hi space. Great volumes I'm confused here. Net debt 13million...cash 25 million ? Why not pay off debt and have 12 million of cash. In this age of dodgy Aim stocks surely the balance sheet in the no1 priority or am i missing something ? | quotes_4_u
27/6/2007 18:55 | 28.5 mill. Must say, this is the only share I've known to make Two bad announcements in one day and still rise. | dalcon01
27/6/2007 18:50 | Given poor trading why would company want to buy-back shares now?! If things worsened they will have used cash up on propping share price up, directors would be shot if they needed to do a fund raising following that....conjecture I know but you get my meaning......I am still in the "avoid" camp | qs9
27/6/2007 15:52 | Now > 26M traded - approx 8%. Wow! | spaceparallax
27/6/2007 15:27 | Serious volume traded so far - I'm seeing in excess of 22M shares, presumably the buyback in action. | spaceparallax
27/6/2007 11:04 | I didn't initially notice the reference to deferral of dividend in favour of using the money for a share buy-back. It'll be interesting to see what this amounts to and whether it has a significant impact on the share price as concentration takes effect. | spaceparallax
27/6/2007 10:53 | Nice little 3.25M BUY earlier on. | spaceparallax
27/6/2007 09:51 | Bleth, I agree with your take on the results - look pretty solid with the exception of the EPS. Obviously taking a cautious approach on outlook statements. I am however stunned at JM's departure, which I suspect may simply be a way of clearing the decks after a difficult period. The sad thing is that he IS MSQ and it seems an ironic time to depart. | spaceparallax
27/6/2007 08:09 | Actually results don't look too bad at first glance, though they say markets continue to be "slow". Looks like it may have been a boardroom squabble rather than catastrophic performance which led to JM's departure. | bletherer
27/6/2007 08:05 | Well, I'm out. Maybe the results were so good that Middleton decided to go out on a high like Tony Blair, but I rather doubt it. MMs haven't marked it down from yesterday's close yet which seems on the face of it rather generous of them. Good luck to all continuing holders. | bletherer
27/6/2007 07:38 | Bloody hell - now instead of results we get news that Middleton's being replaced. What the @@@@ is going on? | bletherer
27/6/2007 07:29 | In the past they've put them out at 7.00, which is the usual London practice, so a bit odd if they change to during market hours without any warning. I hope it doesn't mean bad news is on the way. | bletherer
27/6/2007 07:22 | bletherer Probably at 9:30, when the presentation starts. | dalcon01
27/6/2007 07:19 | So where are the results then? Did someone forget to set their alarm clock? | bletherer
26/6/2007 10:37 | We appear to have a little jitteriness in advance of the results. | spaceparallax |
