I never understand why the market automatically dilutes a share when a placing is made. Ok, so there are more shares in circulation, but the company has aquired assets to the same value as the placing so why should the mar-cap get killed?

I’m going to buy more MER as the compelling value case is just as clear today as it was last week before the placing was announced.

This company just doesn’t get the recognition it deserves.

Mears MM are corrupt B*^%$$s. I follow this share on a regular basis, around 11:00am, 15:00pm and just before close some buy or sell orders take place every day. Take yesterday at 16:35 they closed 12 down on very low vol. This morning they opened 8 up. If close close up any day they open next day down similar pattern every day.Sonebody is at it everyday.

Looks like the market analysts are starting to catch up on the recovery that’s taking hold. Better late than never!

I’m buying more Mears Group with the proceeds from Esure.

Nor me. I expected revenue decline to be well into double digits and profits to be down. Given the noise about the outsourcers, Capita et-al, I thought the management team would take the opportunity to rinse out any bad news but they didn’t have any. So good news all round. I’ve bought some more as this looks like a no-brainier given the really solid business and highly attractive yield. Just think it’s a bit too boring for those who like a bit of razzamatazz.

Wow! Profit growth and Divi up!

I didn’t expect profits to be up. Expected revenues to be much lower than -8% too, given recent turmoil in sector.

These are very good results.
