21/5/2019 12:25 | saltaire111, it could be that the market see's a company very dependent upon the public purse, a purse that is being pinched over and again by government policy. Add in the sudden demise of some big name service providers, and the business model doesn't look too safe. This company might well be the exception but it happens to be in a currently unpopular sector. In the past this type of operation was seen as an essential utility, with prospects of growth as public bodies contracted out their responsibilities, and thus perceived as safe. The landscape has changed. | lefrene
21/5/2019 12:13 | Still do not understand why this company is so unloved. Salty | saltaire111
12/4/2019 07:06 | Great article in Investors Chronicle as a contrarian buyI'm in | ch1ck
19/3/2019 13:01 | Sp was near a 7 year low this am. Seems like another one of those companies that has the market spooked. Their debt was a little above budget, which is a concern. Just hope they have managed to learn a lesson from the likes of CLLN, MTO and IRV. Anyway decided to buy some this am. Hope the fear is eventually unjustified. | bend1pa
19/3/2019 11:46 | I just don’t get it. Competitors getting into a pickle, robust results, great new contract wins and increased Divi. What’s not to like? Salty | saltaire111
15/1/2019 09:00 | Positive update. Don’t understand the market reaction. Slightly higher debt, but just £5m. Don’t think that should make such an impact. Salty | saltaire111
08/1/2019 17:19 | Onwards and upwards. Great news today. My average price here is 311p | useless23
08/1/2019 15:16 | It appears that the market is starting to realise that Mears is not interserve Mk2. It never was and never will be. Credit should go to the management team. Salty | saltaire111
11/12/2018 09:16 | What a bargain this is | useless23
10/12/2018 13:58 | Contagion with interserve is entirely unjustified. | saltaire111
24/11/2018 09:14 | I never understand why the market automatically dilutes a share when a placing is made. Ok, so there are more shares in circulation, but the company has aquired assets to the same value as the placing so why should the mar-cap get killed? I’m going to buy more MER as the compelling value case is just as clear today as it was last week before the placing was announced. This company just doesn’t get the recognition it deserves. Salty | saltaire111
19/11/2018 21:37 | I reckon this will really tomorrow. | useless23
19/11/2018 13:43 | Well that went down well - not! | saltaire111
19/11/2018 10:05 | So annoying when companies do this. | saltaire111
05/10/2018 15:05 | Mears MM are corrupt B*^%$$s. I follow this share on a regular basis, around 11:00am, 15:00pm and just before close some buy or sell orders take place every day. Take yesterday at 16:35 they closed 12 down on very low vol. This morning they opened 8 up. If close close up any day they open next day down similar pattern every day.Sonebody is at it everyday. | lucy123
03/10/2018 15:30 | I’m pleased I’m not a chartist! The cup handle thing has gone somewhat awry! Still bullish on Mears. Salty | saltaire111
31/8/2018 10:02 | And for chartists, the Cup has formed a perfect handle. Supposedly a very bullish pattern (not that I believe in charts). Salty | saltaire111
31/8/2018 10:00 | Just need to break through £4.00. The inexorable recovery continues so it shouldn’t be long. Salty | saltaire111
20/8/2018 21:15 | This just keeps creeping and creeping regardless of the main market. V.positive | useless23
17/8/2018 12:25 | Well useless, it’s just us then! Salty | saltaire111
17/8/2018 08:52 | And up again today. Cannot understand why this board is so quiet. Mears is the best recovery opportunity in the market at the moment. Salty | saltaire111
16/8/2018 13:51 | Looks like the market analysts are starting to catch up on the recovery that’s taking hold. Better late than never! I’m buying more Mears Group with the proceeds from Esure. Salty | saltaire111 |
