05/11/2020 17:05 | Perhaps people are starting to recognise that the company is desperately undervalued in the market. | saltaire111
05/11/2020 16:07 | Decided to take a few because the trades recently and buying behaviour today here are irregular. It is like someone is very keen to buy here and they're just launching sizable bids onto the book. Never see that with MER. No idea if it means something significant, rarely catch a bid because short term trade orientated. Nonetheless it is breaking out on heavy buying so interested to see if it follows through tomorrow and next week. | sphere25
05/11/2020 15:12 | Have bought I’d like a bid in mornjng | abarclay
05/11/2020 14:00 | Why it flying, | abarclay
05/11/2020 13:58 | There’s life in the old dog yet! | saltaire111
05/11/2020 13:18 | Alot more interest in this one recently. Looks like sellers cleared at that 110 mark and price threatening a breakout. A real lumpy one though, not the easiest one to read. | sphere25
11/9/2020 15:48 | These shares follow the same pattern every day, mostly open about 5% down every day they stay that way all day and at close they seem to finish near the previous day close. The MM's are dubious b+×÷=rds. | lucy123
05/8/2020 10:56 | Desperate performance here. Investing in MER is now my biggest mistake - accounting for 3% of my equity investments, it is now down to little over 1%! While I’m not tempted to increase exposure, I’m going to hold on to what’s left of my investment rather than sell out at a substantial loss. I may end up with an even more substantial loss as a result but I remain optimistic that it will recover. Salty. | saltaire111
29/6/2020 10:45 | Mears must benefit from the increased infrastructure repair and maintenance budget, so odds on the share price will recover to a reasonable level. Looking forward to the market catching on. | davwal
17/6/2020 12:41 | Stand out exchanges here. Been watching this one for a while - chart looks interesting. It's still a tricky one to trade because of the horrible spread and lumpy moves. Sellers in size at key 170 resistance at the moment. Nonetheless, another to keep an eye on if there is more significant activity on the book. | sphere25
05/5/2020 08:28 | Earlier :- . And . | skinny
05/5/2020 08:21 | Signs of life today with 10% rise so far. Perhaps these haven't been much affected by the lock-down as they provide staff for care homes and deal with property maintainence which is still necessary. | deadly
05/3/2020 16:39 | Cannot make out these b.,?ard MMs, the shares bounce up and down all day, just before the close they go lower, then after the close in the auction they rise again. If you want to sell some, you cannot sell at the auction price. | lucy123
19/2/2020 06:08 | All the latest infrastructure services/contractor valuation multiples and KPIs can be downloaded from here, including MER | brummy_git
28/1/2020 21:45 | Was taking a look at this share, last update was 'results in line with Board expectations' as opposed to market expectations....any one know what the Board expectations might be?! | texaspete2
03/1/2020 16:49 | All we've had recently is yet another statement saying FY results 'are in line with expectations', which is a well-worn euphemism for flat earnings. This will be the 3rd year in a row that this has been the case, and explains why the share price has continued to disappoint generally. What we're seeing now is just a relief rally, and of course they never last long. Back to 250 by early summer. | bend1pa
02/1/2020 15:27 | Not wanting to curse this but... it looks as if the market has woken up to MER. Good to see the share price picking up. Salty | saltaire111
13/12/2019 18:24 | no election bounce here, in fact was down most of the day. Good for a future bounce though? Recent results were decent. | deadly
27/11/2019 11:47 | Very quiet here. It’s an un-loved sector at present but it’s a solid business. Needs a change of direction at the top. This presentation from MER’s top shareholder is worth a look: Salty. | saltaire111
13/8/2019 08:01 | Interim Divi up 2.8%. Revenue up but profit down due to changes to accounting policy and exiting some developments but ok overall. Salty | saltaire111
10/8/2019 11:41 | so are we expecting good results or not from this one? | red5
30/5/2019 14:01 | At last, some signs that the market is coming round to Mears as an opportunity. It’s worth three quid a share all day long. Salty | saltaire111
24/5/2019 14:03 | Trading on a PE of 10. Divi covered almost 2x. Competitors falling by the wayside opening up yield opportunity. Debt levels at just 33% of book. Appreciate that sentiment is against the sector but sentiment is too emotional for me. I’m just looking at the numbers and thinking that the market is missing something here. I think this is a dull, boring, predictable company that delivers lots of cash. I’m buying more. Salty. | saltaire111 |
