Now that the excitement of the divi has passed, do we see much action here or is it likely to track sideways until the pre-close trading statement in October?

I am not sure after the failed bid that these figures are right. The arbs including myself must own all the free float, which judging by the trades we don't.

It is easy to use a USD to GBP convertor online if you want exact figures.

Hi all

Been reading this and the other thread, think this is a stonking buy at this level and will be coming aboard shortly.I have not seen a company with this type of market cap and yield trading at such a low P/E ratio for some time.I might even consider placing this in my SIPP.

So am i right in saying they just about to pay a dividend of 24.9 cents / 16p per share ? that is some tasty yield if so.

dantee, note that all those II,s here have not sold any holdings and are collecting some hefty dividends here. Two names on list caught my eye which are Pipestone and Emirates.

king suarez, take a look through the last few financial results documents and you will see for yourself some of the answers. As for risk with metal prices and or political risk, mdm are not miners they are the guys that put the infrastructure in place and also specialised project management either direct or working with third parties,so they are in a unique position to benefit not only from a booming mining sector but also on the flipside as their last few results have shown they also benefit from tough mining markets ( where companies seek expertise from the likes of mdm to ensure projects come in "on budget" and "ontime" ).

It would also be worth checking out the calibre of the guys running this company and their track record, that was the biggest influence on why i invested here.I think this company will either be bought out for multiples of current share price or they will move the stock on to the ftse smallcap market in the not too distant future and find themselves on the shopping list of quite a few fund managers.

97% of the shares here are tightly held by institutions,it means the 3% of us that hold retail shares could be in for an exciting ride IMVHO
