12/12/2013 08:56 | Sibanye offer for Wits may increase the chances of De Bron Merriespruit execution happening in some form - MDM did the DFS on De Bron for Wits. hxxp://www.bdlive.co | hop53ton
10/12/2013 10:26 | Ex divi tomorrow, and a nice divi it is as well! | sar10
04/12/2013 13:28 | I was happy to take a small profit and run. Not much sign of a catalyst to get this going up and IMO prob more likely to drift down. I am increasingly wary of shares which are such a narrow market, | gliderpilot2002
04/12/2013 09:18 | Reassurance too that full year results expected to be in line with market expectations. | hop53ton
04/12/2013 08:25 | Likewise, not surprised by the sharp drop - anyone reading the headline results without realising the history and expectation of reduced profits will likely panic. You're right about predators potentially circling again jeffian...and once the price has settled at a new level I'm thinking of topping up. | m1das_touch
04/12/2013 08:19 | I'm not surprised by the immediate reaction. Although the results are 'as anticipated', not everyone will have realised that profits are expected to be lower this year after last year's 'exceptional' gains. Hopefully will settle down now, but might be shaky in the short term. Mind you, bearing in mind the previous interest of Sedgman and what's been happening over at KENZ, any weakness of the share price could attract predators again. | jeffian
04/12/2013 08:10 | Fully agree M1das. Results were pretty much as expected and good to see that even in tough times they generate enough cash to, I believe, justify the current share price (before this morning's drop!). | mickharkins1
04/12/2013 08:07 | I think these are excellent results bearing in mind the generally negative resources backdrop. Lower revenues & profits were flagged up and widely expected, but great that they've in effect held the interim dividend by adding a special. If this is what MDM can do in difficult times, just imagine what they could do if the boom times return! One thing is sure, I'd rather be invested here than in a penny resources stock with no cash and speculative potential. MDM remain profitable, cash generative with a lot of cash on the balance sheet and are committed to paying a fat dividend. Happy to hold for the long-term and collect & reinvest the dividend along the way. | m1das_touch
03/12/2013 09:48 | Let's hope it continues in that vein tomorrow! (Interim Results) | jeffian
03/12/2013 08:29 | The news is all positive at present. | this_is_me
28/11/2013 08:47 | MDM feature heavily in this article out today from Shares on mining suppliers, consultants, equipment providers: | dell1234
28/11/2013 08:42 | Good mineral resource update for part of Dugbe project from Hummingbird. MDM's DFS due Q3 2014. | hop53ton
27/11/2013 12:50 | May be nothing to do with it, but interim results are due next Wednesday. | hop53ton
27/11/2013 12:45 | Quality & Value in abundance, but not aware of any article / new coverage. Looks bullish, I shoulda topped up whilst I had the chance... | floatupstream
27/11/2013 12:37 | Any reason for big rise today? | lancasterbomber
14/11/2013 16:46 | If that is the case I wonder how the order book compares now to what it was then? | sar10
14/11/2013 11:12 | Sedgman triggered a clause in the Merger Implemtation Agreement based on the level of MDM's forward order book. Whether there was more to it than that I just don't know. | hop53ton
14/11/2013 11:00 | Do we know what caused the talks to fail before? | jeffian
14/11/2013 10:55 | Sedgman (remember them?) AGM presentation makes interesting reading. More optimistic on metals than coal and still looking to bulk up by acquisition outside Australia. hxxp://www.sedgman.c | hop53ton
12/11/2013 09:40 | I wonder if this is a belated reaction to the recent TS and understanding that "in line with market expectations" actually means a reduction as last year was 'exceptional'? I still think it's cheap but nobody likes to see eps and divs go down. Just a guess; no idea really! | jeffian
12/11/2013 07:49 | If this drops below 130 I'm buying more. | it_trader
11/11/2013 23:41 | Bounce back 5% tomorrow? Can't see any bad news around for the drop. | rickyvader
11/11/2013 19:22 | People have been selling as they see the price drifting down and it is a very thin market. A widening bid offer spread has exaggerated the fall. | gliderpilot2002
11/11/2013 15:58 | Does anyone know what is going on ? | kayandpee |
